Vehicle Detail

*****PLEASE NOTE: I am listing this car with NO RESERVE. If you would like to make an offer please leave a phone number or call me at (917) 749-4302 cell. Lets make these bids legit please. These auctions cost money and I don't have time to start chasing you. Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GREAT LOOKING AND HIGHLY CUSTOMIZED 1955 CHEVY BEL AIR CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE WITH TONS OF WORK DONE THAT RUNS/DRIVES GREAT. SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. FACTORY OPTIONS: Manual steering Manual brakes Custom bucket seat interior with column shift Chevy rally wheels with old school trim rings and spinner caps wearing radial tires NO convertible top Dual exhaust with custom tips 350ci crate motor 10 bolt rear end Custom shaved handles, hood trim etc. Lowered windshield frame Tilt steering column Vintage gauges Trunk mounted fuel cell Battery relocated to the trunk Vehicle comes from Alabama, where it has been collector owned and resto-modified during the mid-late 1990s from what I was told. The vehicle was professionally repainted, had a new interior installed, crate motor installed, rebuilt brake system, checked transmission and rear end, electrics, etc etc. Overall a total of over $20k was spent on the car and it spent the last 10 or so years in Florida at a large dealership attracting attention and customers. Interior is in VERY GOOD condition with general wear here and there. Seats have been reupholstered. Doors have flat steel panels on the insides. Carpet removed and hard mat installed as seen. Dash is good. Professionally made custom convertible top boot (that looks like it has a folding top under it). Overall a beautifully presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood lies a later model crate 350ci/275hp block that is mostly stock other than the addition of HEI electronic ignition and 4bbl. carburetor. Starts easily and sounds great. Good stock power overall and brakes stop fairly WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble. Very fun to drive once you get used to it. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, never on any longer trips. Underneath the car appears pretty solid with extra braces and support brackets welded to the chassis for stability and to keep the body from flexing, since there is no roof. Trunk is pretty solid throughout. Floorboards appear pretty good overall and don't show any large holes anywhere that I was able to see. Side braces seem in one piece and in good shape as well. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with good luster for a GOOD driver (NOT a showcar of course). Some general small scratches/chips/dents etc. as you would expect from driving along and regular use. Rear passenger side lower door has bubble clusters in that area. I haven't driven the car in a while, so it should have fluids checked and replaced before it is put back on the road. One spinner cap missing center spinner. A couple of the gauges may not be connected. May need a couple of bulbs replaced and electrics checked (which I'll have my mechanic do before auction ends if I get around to it). That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL THIS IS A VERY NICE DRIVER WITH A LOT OF MONEY SPENT ON IT THAT WITH SOME TLC AND SERVICING COULD EASILY BE A VERY FUN DAILY DRIVER. GREAT LOOKING 1955 BEL AIR CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE THAT HAS GREAT POTENTIAL AND IS WAITING FOR A NEW OWNER TO TAKE IT UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL OR ENJOY IT AS IS. E-mail me at MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM or call me directly at (917) 749-4302 with questions. Good luck.
