Vehicle Detail
What an Opportunity! Up for auction is a super clean 2 owner 1977 Ford F-250 “TRAILER SPECIAL” – This truck is 100% original (with the exception of the radio) and is as nice as you will find anywhere! An original California truck so rust is not an issue. Please keep in mind as you view the pictures that this truck HAS NOT been detailed – What you see represents how it has been cared for – Amazing! I have owned several Ford trucks of this vintage and this is by far the nicest of them all. Original paint, interior, running gear, etc. – It does not get much better than this! The truck is equipped with a 460 – 4bbl, Automatic Trans, A/C (works great and blows COLD), cruise control (working perfectly), dual tanks, AM/FM-CD and set up to tow. The truck shows 105,000 extremely gentle miles The body and paint are very nice. No major dents or dings! Of course there are very minor bumps but nothing of any significance. The orange and white paint is original and still shines like new. There are a couple thin spots (cowl, passenger’s door, top of box on passenger’s side near cab and behind rear wheel/drivers side) which add to the classic look of this truck! The inside of the box is VERY, VERY clean – Another clear sign this truck has been pampered! The interior is extremely clean and again 100% original. The seat is in very nice shape but does have several places where the seams are beginning to pull – The seat is not worn or broken down and is very comfortable. Dash, instrument panel, door panels , headliner and floorboard mat are nice! Mechanically the truck is unbelievable. The truck starts right up, no noises or problems. It drives shifts and pulls like new. A real joy to drive. I spent this weekend running around Bakersfield with the windows rolled up and the air on – It was 100 degrees plus and the truck ran cool even in stop and go city driving – AND THE AIR WORKED PERFECTLY!!!! I would not hesitate to drive the truck across the Country today! I could go on and on about this truck! If I did not need 4 Wheel Drive on my tow rig (and wasn’t in the market for a first generation Bronco) I would be keeping this truck! This is the perfect truck to pull your classic to those weekend car shows OR to show at the local shows and cruises. I will say it again, WHAT A FIND! If you are in the market for a classic truck or looking for a rig to make that extra special/unique tow rig this is one you should consider. It is not very often a truck comes along in this condition; add to that the nice equipment package and super rare “Trailer Special” and you have got something not easily found! Feel free to contact Dean at 661-703-8402 with any questionsOn Jul-28-11 at 09:03:36 PDT, seller added the following information: A quick note, the tires have great tread left but the sidewalls are showings some weather cracking. I would not be worried to drive the truck loaded or unloaded around town, or unloaded on the highway with the tires as they are but would want to have them checked out by a tire shop if I was going to be pulling a heavy load down the Highway for any distance. Tire size is 16.5 x 9.50. In addition, I do have the original Owners Manual for this truck.
