Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GORGEOUS LOOKING ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 1970 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE WITH BOSS 302 APPEARANCE PACKAGE AND 47K MILES ON THE ODOMETER (BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL)! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Factory Options: 1) Power steering 2) Manual drum brakes 3) Single exhaust 4) Power Convertible top 6) Hi-back bucket seats w/console and floor shift 7) #s MATCHING 302ci 2V motor 8) Automatic C4 transmission 9) Hood scoop w/CobraJet emblems 10) Magnum 500 wheels w/BFG Radial tires 11) Front and rear spoilers 12) BOSS 302 appearance package The car comes from Georgia, where it has been collector owned and maintained. Owner restored it to stock basically, so it looked pretty plain jane so I decided to make it stand out a bit by adding all the appearance goodies you see, such as the Boss stripe kit, front and rear spoilers, center console, Magnum 500 wheels and dressed up the engine bay to look like a proper high performance car of the time with chrome export brace and monte carlo bar and finned aluminum valve covers as well as a Cobra air cleaner. Everything else had been done by the previous owner, including paint/bodywork (beautifully straight and all metal car), brand new convertible top, new interior (seat covers, carpet, sunvisors, seat foam, door panels, etc.). Interior is in VERY GOOD condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats and carpet are brand new throughout and professionally installed. Door panels like new, just minor discoloration from being white. Good steering wheel. Convertible top is brand new with new rear window. Dash pad has minor wear and is not perfect but presentable. Console is driver quality. Overall a nicely presentable high end driver quality interior! Under the hood lies the stock MATCHING NUMBERS F-CODE 302ci 2V motor which is 100% bone stock from the looks of it, other than the added appearance package as you can see. Starts easily and sounds great. Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now without worries, just tune it the way you want and you're ready to go. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, and a few times on the highway on the way to a local cruise night or car show, never on any long trips. Underside looks in great shape on this car. Solid southern undercarriage that was undercoated many years ago and help up extremely well. Very nice floors, solid torque boxes, good frame rails, nice shock towers and overall no real big eye sores other than a hint of surface rust from sporadic use here and there. Trunk appears to be pretty solid as well with new gas tank installed. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with good luster for a very nice driver (NOT a showcar of course). Some minor imperfections here and there from use as you would expect like small chips and a couple of tiny scratches and such. Convertible top has been disconnected as it needs a switch under the dash to operate. Brakes could use new front driver's side wheel cylinder as they lean to the left when you break. Every once in a while the flywheel grinds a bit when you start it, but always starts right up. Couple of bulbs may need replacing. Windows missing felt strips and passenger side is a bit off the track so it rattles a bit when down. A couple of small weatherstripping pieces missing. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND EYE CATCHING CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER WITH VERY MINOR TLC. HOP IN AND DRIVE IT WITH THE TOP DOWN AND ENJOY THE WEATHER AND FINISH TINKERING WITH IT AS YOU SEE FIT. VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A MATCHING NUMBERS 1970 FORD MUSTANG "BOSS 302 TRIBUTE" CONVERTIBLE WITH 47K MILES ON THE ODOMETER!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
