Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A SHARP LOOKING 1968 CHEVY CAMARO CONVERTIBLE WITH 396CI BIG BLOCK AND 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Factory Options: 1) Manual steering 2) Manual brakes 3) Dual exhaust 4) 396CI/350HP 4bbl. V8 motor 5) Muncie M-21 4 SPEED transmission on the floor 6) Chevy Rally wheels with white letter radial tires 7) Bucket seats 8) Cowl hood 9) Rear spoiler 10) Bumblebee stripe 11) 10 bolt rear end The car comes from Maine, where it has been collector owned. Previous owner has done quite a bit of work to the car as a father/son project and ran out of time and money. It has recently been painted and it has good solid panels and is pretty straight throughout. Nice driver quality job. Everything else needs to be gone through properly as I will point out below. Interior is in FAIR to GOOD condition. Seats in decent shape (rear ones a bit dry, front driver's side needs new covers, passenger side ok). Door panels are bad but I do have NEW ones to be installed. Dash seems original and is presentable with normal wear. No carpet. Convertible top is ripped and needs replacing. Overall it could use a new interior! Under the hood lies a 396ci V8 motor with some bolt on performance parts such as full headers with NEW dual exhaust and Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor to name a few. The car supposedly has a new clutch installed and shifts good in all gears. As you can see there is no alternator or fan so those would have to be installed before driving the car any distance. Starts up good and idles ok with nice power, but should be gone through to make sure everything is connected properly. Motor did NOT seem to smoke, have any knocks or valve taps from what I could tell the few times I started it. Underside is VERY SOLID with EXCELLENT FRAME and NICE floorboards. Not sure if they were redone or not, but they look to be in very good shape. Trunk pan is also solid as you can see. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with good luster for a GOOD driver (NOT a showcar of course). Some minor imperfections here and there as this was not a $20k paintjob of course and it could use minor wetsand and buff to bring out full shine. This is an unfinished project so i'm not going to start listing every single issue wrong with it. I listed most of the things that still need work. I'm sure it's missing a few small pieces here and there that you may have to order and some things obviously don't work so please keep that in mind. Windows need track adjustments. Some trim pieces missing as you can see. One white letter tire has a hole and needs replacing (spare on it now). Chrome should be replaced (bumpers, taillight bezels, etc.). That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A GREAT LOOKING AND EYE CATCHING CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER WITH SOME FINISHING WORK AND TLC. GREAT PROJECT MOSTLY COMPLETED THAT YOU CAN DRIVE AS IS WITH MINOR TLC OR AND FINISH RESTORING AS YOU SEE FIT OVER THE WINTER.
