Vehicle Detail

This listing is for a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback project car. This car runs, drives, and stops, but is no way street legal. It is very rusty – I was going to use the car as a parts car and get a dynacorn body. It would make a great eleanor, bullitt, or shelby mustang project. It has a clear title in my name. This car needs a complete restoration. You could either restore the car as is, use as parts and/or use for a dynacorn body. If you plan to restore, this car will need most of the sheetmetal offered by the classic mustang parts dealers. From what I can tell from a sheetmetal point of view, it will at least need quarters, trunk, torque boxes, cowl, inner fender and shock towers, fenders, hood, front floorpans, rockers, front and rear frame rails, front and rear valences. It may need more once you start taking it apart. All parts included are shown in the pictures. I do not have the front and side glass – I do have the vent windows (see parts pic). The front and back seats are there, but it will need a new interior, new gauges, dash pad, wiring, etc. The car has an original 289 small block with a C4 automatic and 8” axle. It has a rebuilt Motorcraft 2100 2-barrel carb, converted to an electric choke. It has rebuilt 1985 302 heads. It was originally an A/C car, but the A/C is missing. It has power disc brakes and power steering. It has a new master cylinder, brake booster, new front brake rotors, calipers, and brake hoses. The rear drum brakes have been removed, they were seized when I got the car. The motor runs good – it has never smoked or leaked since I have had it. The car also has new spark plug wires, spark plugs, alternator, starter, starter solenoid, battery cables, cap, rotor, points/condenser, and coil. I run it off a 1 gallon fuel tank behind the front seat, as the gas tank is shot. The C4 shifts good. I welded up the spider gears in the 8” rear to do burnouts, since I was going to replace it with a 9” rear anyway. The car has exhaust manifolds, but no exhaust from the manifold back (open pipes). 1968 Mustang VIN/Dataplate breakdown: Body: Fastback, Standard Interior, Bucket Seats Color: Gulfstream Aqua [Interior] Trim: Aqua vinyl Date: 29 of February (1st year - except 65, 2nd year) DSO: Philadelphia Axle: 2.79:1 Trans: C-4 Automatic VIN (Warranty Number) Breakdown: 8T02C175800 8 = 1968 T = Metuchen, NJ 02 = Fastback/Sportsroof C = 289-2v 175800 = Consecutive unit number #175800 This car would make a great project to restore, or use for a dynacorn body. I have tried to explain this vehicle to best of my ability. These are my terms - this car is as-is, where is, there is no warranty. I would be willing to deliver the car up to 30 miles away from Oxford, PA 19363. Any farther and you’ll need to arrange your own pickup. Remember the car is not street legal and will need to be transported on a rollback or car trailer. If the car is sold to a PA buyer, PA law requires that the buyer be present at a PA notary when the title is signed over and notarized. A $1,000.00 deposit is required with in 24 hours of auction end and balance due within 7 days of auctions end. Cash, certified bank check or money order only - the car, keys and title will not be released until the full balance of the check/money order clears. You must have at least 5 positive feedbacks to bid on this vehicle – if not, I will remove your bid from the auction. Serious bidders only who are ready to buy the car. If you win the auction you are obligated to buy the vehicle at the winning price, period. If you don’t respond, you will be reported to Ebay in an Unpaid Item Case. Please let me know if you have any question - thanks much.On Jul-27-11 at 16:35:12 PDT, seller added the following information: A reminder that you must have at least 5 positive feedbacks to bid on this auction. I've already cancelled multiple bids from bidders that do not meet the minimum requirement. Please read the terms above.
