SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST AS IS OR RESTORE TO YOUR LIKING. FACTORY OPTIONS: Manual steering Manual brakes Power windows Standard red and white bench seat interior with column shift automatic 14" steel wheels with hubcaps and whitewall tires Dual exhaust Vehicle comes from Wisconsin where it was sitting in a garage for a long time as a father/son project. I got the car a couple of years ago and have been playing with it in my spare time whenever I could. Since I got it, I did driver quality bodywork/paint, had the seats and, partial door panels, headliner and carpet professionally reupholstered and redone, detailed the engine bay a little, had my mechanic check the motor/tranny/rear/brakes and had him do some electrical work to fix the lights/signals, added some minor touches and it's at the point where it is now. Runs/drives and is a nice project for someone looking for one that hasn't been all hotrodded or doesn't want to pay $60-100k for a completely redone one. Interior is in VERY GOOD condition with general wear here and there. Seats have been reupholstered. Door panels are very nice except for white inserts that show wear and discoloration. Carpet is all new. Headliner is all new with all the bows there. Dash is worn and unrestored, as is the steering wheel Overall a very presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood lies a mostly stock 350ci motor dressed with some vintage chrome "chevrolet" valve covers and custom air cleaner, with automatic TH-350 transmission on the column. . Starts easily and sounds great. Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and feels stock. Very fun to drive. I've driven it mostly here and there around town, a few times on the highway to stretch its legs. Transmission has a pretty heavy shift kit so it will snap your neck when it changes gears, which is a lot of fun. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up FAIRLY with good luster for a PRESENTABLE driver (NOT a showcar of course). Some general small scratches/chips/dents etc. as you would expect from driving along and regular use and keep in mind this was a driver quality paintjob. Spare tire section had rust in the past and was fiberglassed, looks but should be redone properly. Exhaust needs replacing, Leaks some oil. I had my mechanic tune it as much as possible and now it runs well and starts right up, just needs to be driven. Inner trim pieces could use rechroming where needed. Tailgate had lots of rust so it was patched and still needs quite a bit of detailing and finish work (doesn't latch close completely and missing cables to keep it open). Underside has scaly surface rust throughout. Floorboards have had prior patches in the past and are solid throughout but not stock panels (side braces still very nice). Dash gauges need to be hooked up. Power windows not working (may need new switches or perhaps regulators). That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL THIS IS A VERY PRESENTABLE 56 NOMAD THAT HAS HAD A LOT OF WORK DONE AND IS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO USE IT AS IS OR RESTORE IT TO THEIR LIKING. IN MY OPINION IT COULD USE A COMPLETE RESTO TO DO IT JUSTICE. THIS IS A SHARP LOOKING 56 CHEVY NOMAD 2 DOOR STATION WAGON THAT CAN EASILY BE A SUMMER CRUISER OR EXCELLENT WINTER PROJECT!.
