THIS BUILD INFO IS FROM THE GUYS AT THE HURST OLDS CLUB. THIS IS CAR 2326 MANUFACTURED OUT OF THE TOTAL 3001 BUILT. THE ORIGINAL OWNER WAS FROM DEPTFORD NJ. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED USED BY MY DAUGHTER AROUND 1985. I PURCHASED FROM HER AROUND 1995. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN USED DAILY SINCE 2003. EVERY MONTH OR SO I TAKE IT OUT OF THE GARAGE FOR A SPIN. THIS IS A FUNCTIONAL CAR THAT COULD BE USED AS A DAILY DRIVER. IF I WERE TO USE IT AS A DAILY DRIVER, ALL THE WATER HOSES WOULD BE REPLACED. IT CAN ATTAIN 15 TO 17 MPG. THE CAR IS ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING; TRANSMISSION REPLACED WITH A REBUILT UNIT, NO SHIFT KIT, RING AND PINION, TIMING CHAIN, FUEL TANK, ROTORS, WINDSHIELD, WATER PUMP, RADIATOR, ALTERNATOR, HEATER CORE, RADIO, SHOCKS, FUEL PUMP, EXHAUST SYSTEM, CATALYTIC CONVERTER, UPPER AND LOWER FRONT BUSHINGS, REAR TRAILING ARM BUSHINGS, ETC, ETC. MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE LISTED ONLY THE ORIGINAL PARTS AND THE LIST MAY HAVE BEEN SHORTER!!! THE ONLY PART MISSING THAT I KNOW OF IS, THE AIR PUMP. THE CAR HAS THREE NEW TA RADIALS AND THE FOURTH IS OK. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED IN 2010. NEW HEATER CONTROL VALVE. I BELIEVE THIS CAR HAD FRONT END SHEETMETAL DAMAGE BY THE ORIGINAL OWNERS. THE MOST DOWN SIDE OF THIS CAR IS THE PASSENGER DOOR WHICH IS RUSTED THRU ALONG THE BOTTOM INSIDE WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE DOOR OUTER SKIN. FOR A FULL RESTORATION THE DOOR WOULD NEED REPLACING. NOTE THE PICTURE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR QUARTER WHICH IS STARTING TO BLISTER DUE TO RUST. THE DRIVER SIDE REAR QUARTER IN THE SAME AREA WAS ALSO RUSTED AND HAS SINCE BEEN REPAIRED. NEXT DOWN SIDE IS THE PAINT, I BELIEVE WHEN THE SHEETMETAL REPAIR WAS DONE THERE WAS SOME INCOMPATIBILITY WITH THE PAINT MATERIALS.SOME OF THE PAINT HAS A MOSAIC TEXTURE, I WOULD SAY ABOUT 50% OF THE CAR, AND SOME OF THE PAINT IS ACTUALLY NOT BAD. NICEST ABOUT THE CAR IS THE INTERIOR WHICH IS ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVERS SEAT COVERING AND THE HEADLINER, WHICH HAVE BEEN REPLACED, USING ORIGINAL TYPE MATERIALS. THE ONLY INTERIOR WEAR SPOTS ARE THE CARPET WHERE THE SHOE MAKES CONTACT TO THE RIGHT OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE CENTER CONSOLE WHICH IS WORN THRU SOME OF THE COVERING OF THE ARMREST. IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURE OF THE TRUNK, YOU WILL NOTICE THE SERVICE MANUALS ARE PLACED ON THE ORIGINAL GM T-TOP PROTECTIVE COVERS WHICH ARE IN VERY NICE CONDITION. THE ENGINE, EXCEPT FOR INTAKE GASKETS AND TIMING CHAIN, HAS NEVER BEEN APART. THE ENGINE RUNS NICELY AND THERE ARE NO NOISES, TICKS, POPS OR KNOCKS. I WILL SAY THE BLOW-BY IS PROPORTIONAL TO THE MILEAGE. I BELIEVE OIL USAGE IS BETWEEN 1000 AND 2000 MILES PER QUART OF 30W-HD. THERE IS SOME OIL SEEPAGE FROM THE ENGINE. THE A\C SYSTEM HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH R-134A.\ I HAVE VIEWED THE HISTORY REPORT AND IT DOES NOT SEEM ACCURATE. THIS CAR HAS HAD AT LEAST 4 OWNERS. ANY QUESTIONS, EMAIL.
