For sale is a 1984 Camaro Z-28 with the optional 305 H.O. engine originally voted the best handling American production car for 1984 by Car and Driver Magazine. I originally bought this car as a father son project and my son drove this car most of his senior year (2010-2011) until the need for a commute car to college arose and my son lost interest in maintaining it. The engine is all original except for a smog legal Edelbrock intake. A Flowmaster muffler gives it a nice throaty exhaust tone. Clutch in good shape and the car has the T-5 manual transmission, air conditioning power windows, brakes, am-fm radio. Some interior parts and upgraded tail lights and glass T-tops off of a 1991 RS model were added to enhance the looks. Dashpad in perfect condition, covered by a dashpad carpet.Driver's seat had a couple of tears on it which were repaired. Passenger seat has one small tear. New Starfire blue metallic paint last year along with new Firestone 500 tires with the original polished and clearcoated rims, new shocks and a new gas tank, rear brakes. Mechanical issues are as follows: may need a new catalytic converter in the future and a small drip on the transmission when the car sits for awhile. Car does not like 90-100 degree heat and needs to have the rear window tinted and sun shades for the T-tops.Car gets 20+ mpg on the freeway, 15 mpg around town. Car is currently registered until 9/11 and has a clear title in my name. Car is located off I-80 in Auburn, Ca., 30 miles from Sacramento, 110 miles west of Reno.
