This auction is for one 1931 Studebaker President Eight Series 90 State Brougham. It rides on a 136 inch wheelbase and is equipped with a 122 horsepower, 337 cubic inch straight 8 engine, a 3 speed manual transmission with Free-Wheeling, dual side mounted spare tires, wire wheels and a rear mounted trunk. This fine automobile is recognized as a full classic by The Classic Car Club of America. Since last registered in California in 1978, it has been properly stored, started and driven periodically. All photos are recent and show that this beautiful car has been well cared for. The fuel pump has just been rebuilt with material unaffected by the gasoline of today. The water jacket on the side of the engine has been replaced and the engine block thoroughly flushed. The chrome on the front bumper is peeling and needs replating and there is a small dent in the trunk near the right hand latch. All of the lights and gauges work and the car runs and drives fine. The fuel tank was drained and cleaned while the fuel pump was being rebuilt. I've only driven the car 4 or 5 miles at a time going to local events and it runs, shifts, and stops smoothly. It probably should have the carburetor cleaned and a tune-up after setting for such a long time but runs and drives fine as is. The car will be sold with a California title and a Massachusetts Reassignment form from me, a licensed Massachusetts automobile dealer.
