For sale is my 1986 VF1000R which has being retired and "moth-balled" for a few years now with 15526 miles on it. This bike besides its original heritage, has a custom Yoshimura exhaust, it was fully serviced before taken out of service as my keepsake to be, with oil, antifreeze, filters, etc changed at the time. Unfortunately my expenses right now don't allow for that luxury any longer. At about 2006 and 13265 miles, the tires were replaced with front tire: 12 Sport Demon / PI 120 / 80V16 and rear tire: 17 Sport Demon / PI 150 / 70V17, both Pirellis, along with the complete brakes and fluid. At that time also the front fork seals and fluid were replaced along with the clutch fluid being flushed, replenished, bled etc. In July 2007, it was decided not to be riden any longer and to be kept in my garage, covered and maintained as a keepsake due to its uniquness and looks, by draining all fuel, slushing some 30 weight oil in the tank to prevent rust. At that point no fuel was to be put in the tank or oil to come out of the tank into the fuel system. Unless of course it was to be reactivated again and in which case the inside of the tank would need to be drained and cleaned out from the oil etc. (Not much oil was put in). Also the bike has being cranked every so often to move the engine componets and oil within the engine to get around. The battery was/is kept charged with a battery tender. (Battery Tender not included). Also waxed and polished frequently though not used. Things included are: a service stand, a cover in very good condition, a K&N filter used but in good shape and not in the bike, (bike has a new original Honda filter in it now) and some other small odds and ends kept in recent years. Also a soft copy of the service manual and parts asm can be send with the bike in CD form. Looking at the pictures you can see the condition of this machine along with some minor scratches and hair line cracks on the top fairing by the mirrors though contained and not that obvious. Also additional pictures can be sent as needed. Please ask any questions that you might have and keep in mind that all worked fine on it before taken off service but since it hasn't been riden for a while and due to its age it's sold as is. Purchaser is to set up for pickup of bike and said items. Also expenses for the bike's relocation, etc, are to be absorded by the new owner.
