Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a finely customized second-owner street car. This car was purchased new by my dad in 65, for a commuter vehicle. It began its life as a humble 6-cylinder post coupe, the base model of the infamous GTO. The car survived my youth, a few divorces and has allowed me to experiance one of the finest of mid life crisis. But times change, business is slow and my dear 14 year old daughter thinks she will soon be driving this car to high school...... This rust-free California car has seen just over 5460 miles since in underwent a frame-off restoration. It is equiped with a TNT built pump-gas friendly 455, an Art Carr TH200R4 4-speed automatic, a Currie built 12 bolt posi, 4-corner disks, a list of suspension upgrades and a fully functional and unique Targa top. It starts, runs and handles well, has no leaks and can't help but attract attention... Stated Features: 40 year one-owner documentation including pictures, history, tech sheets, time slips, receipts etc, .040 over 455(465), SpeedPro forged pistons, forged rods, Comp XE262 cam, the regular stuff, 1971 #96 (400) heads producing 9.5:1 compression, excellent for pump gas (even in 100 degrees), MSD 6AL, MSD Ready to Run distributor, Taylor wires, Blaster coil, High-Torque starter, Jet Stage II 800 Quadrajet, Edelbrock Performer intake, Griffin aluminum radiator, Air Inlet Systems Ram Air breather, coated 67 R/A exhausts, Patriot auger-type baffled sidepipes, Cal Customs valve covers, Art Carr/CPT Heavy Duty TH200R4 4 speed overdrive with custom 10" 2700rpm stall converter, Currie custom GM 12 Bolt rear end with Eaton 3.42 posi and disk brakes, rear proportioning valve, Custom Targa Top, Tilt wheel, AutoMeter gauges, B&M Megashifter w/switch (squeeze?), ProCar buckets, roll cage, Pioneer CD, Custom Chrome Centerline Hellcats, 16X8 front 17X8.5 back, Goodyear RS-A touring all 4. Extra Features: Good body parts for future upgrades or insurance....Includes front fenders w/wells, core support, original radiator, a good set of grills, bumper, tempest hood, rear facia, left and right rear quarter extensions, rear bumper and trunk lid. Four Ansen Sprint 17X8 track wheels with good race rubber, four BFG drag radials on good 15" stock rally rims. Clean 326-400 standard oem pontiac crankshaft, decent stock 10-bolt rear with 2.78 gears. Assorted trim and accesories left in boxes after Pamona 2011. I got into the 12's at the local track, a real hoot at thunderhill! Everyone looks at all the shows...runs great and everything works well, a lot of bang for the buck. Thank you for looking Car and parts will be trailored to locations within 500 miles of Redding, CA for a flat rate of $ 1.00 per mile. It runs well, drive it home... I'm working on getting a facebook page with which viewers can observe the removal, stowage and reinstallation of the top. It's relatively easy; leave me a message if you are interested. The car isn't perfect, obviously. It was built to have fun. There are a few small dings left when the hood flew off...a few pebble dings from the track, a few scratches here and there and the paint was never rubbed out cause it was to be retired someday and then pampered.
