1970 BMW R75/5 43,000 miles 1,200 invested last summer in tune up and new charging system. New battery. New tires. Newer pipes. Original tool box. I am the third owner of this vintage classic. The second owner purchased it in 1972 with a few thousand miles on it. When I bought it I performed a partial restoration. When I bought this Airhead it had an aftermarket faring and seat. I installed an original style headlight assembly and seat. When I removed the fairing I noticed that it had rubbed against the tank causing noticeable damage to the paint. I had the original white paint scanned from beneath the seat, so that the new paint would match the original color. I had the tank and fenders professionally painted 8 years ago. Needs some work to be considered a complete restoration. That being said it looks and runs great as is. I have put very few miles on this bike over the past 8-9 years, due to work and family obligations. I would love to see it go to a person who will ride it and enjoy it. I have mixed feelings about selling it; however I need space in my garage more than I need it. Thanks for looking
