Vehicle Detail
1948 Ford F-1 Street Rod. I have a clear Title for the Truck. This Hot Rod is a real head turner. It gets stares and thumbs up where ever it goes. It is the center of attention ant every Car Show and Cruise in. Everyone wants to crawl under, look it over, sit in it and get a picture with it. It may sound like I am exaggerating, but I'm not! This Truck started out as a solid rust free truck and was Lowered about 4". Then the Top was chopped about 6 inches. The Windshield is about 8 1/2" Tall and the Rear Window is about the size of a Mail Slot! The Top was filled with the center section of another F-1 Cab. This Truck was chopped by a professional and was done correctly. The Chop is solid and really gives this truck a cool look! The Doors are solid and rust free and have been cut to match the Top, Suicided and had the Handles shaved. The doors open with electric poppers and buttons hidden under the Dash and below the Cab. The Front Fenders have been smoothed the remove the crease between the upper and lower fender. The Grill is Bright Stainless. The Front Bumper is Chrome. The Hood is solid, rust free and has 102 louvers punched in it. The Running Boards are Steel and in excellent condition. They appear to be aftermarket Pieces. I have never seen a set of factory Running Boards in this good condition. The Bed Sides are solid. The Bed has a piece of steel in the Floor. There is a complete toneau cover snapped to the perimeter of the bed. The Cover is in very good condition. The Rear Fenders are solid and have a set of 1949 Mercury Tail Lights mounted in them. The Tail Gate is solid and folds up and down with ease. The Tail Gate Chains have Vinyl covers on them. The Rear Bumper is painted Silver, not Chrome. The exterior of this truck is beautiful. Under the hood is a built 302 and C-6 Automatic Transmission. The Engine has a cam and produces a loud throaty thump. The Engine has Headers and no exhaust beyond the headers. It is quite loud! The Engine has aluminum Valve Covers with the Mustang Cobra Lettering, along with an Aluminum Intake and Holley Carburetor. The Transmission has a Shifter on the Floor and looks like a stock Ford piece. The Transmission shifts well and the shifter works well. The Engine has a Radiator that does not appear to be stock for this truck. The Radiator has an electric fan, with a switch, on the Dash. The Engine starts easily, Idles well, runs great and stays cool. The Truck has a cool set of Full Moon Hub Caps, on Steel Wheels and Brand New Tires. The Brake System has been completely replaced and the Truck has great Brakes. They are Factory Ford Four Wheel Drum Brakes with Standard Master Cylinder. The Interior of the Truck is pretty stock. It has the original Bench Seat. The Dash has been filled, to remove the holes for the stock Radio and Speaker. There are aftermarket gauges for Temperature and Oil Pressure. The Factory Fuel Gauge works. All of the Lights work. The Turn Signals and Hazard Flashers work. The Horn Works. There is a Tape Player and speakers, in the truck. I don't know if it works. Everything else in the truck works. Here are the the things the Truck could use. The Paint shines and looks pretty good, but the paint job is old. It has some cracks and chips and could be repainted, for a better look. There is no arm or blade on the Windshield Wiper. There is no glass in the Doors. The Window mechanisms are in the doors, but Glass need to be cut and installed. It is Flat Glass and should not be expensive. There is no Headliner. There is no Carpet. That leaves a few details for the next owner to complete. The Truck starts well, runs well and drives well. Yes, you can drive it anywhere. Yes, you can fly in and drive it home. Yes, it is that dependable. However, remember, it has no exhaust beyond the Headers. If you want to fly in and drive it home, you might want to put some exhaust on it first. There is a muffler shop a few miles from my house and Summit Racing is just 20 miles away. Adding exhaust and driving it away is actually a possibility. If you want to have it transported, I can assist with delivery within a couple hundred miles of Canton, Ohio, for a fee. If you want to have a transport company pick it up, I will assist them with loading. This Truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder. Look over my completed listings. you will find that when I list them, I let them go for whatever they bring. I have tried to post good pictures that show the true condition of the Truck and cover all of the details, in my listing. I will try to answer any questions through email.
