1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible Let's build the beetle of your dreams together ! I have added some pictures of 2 show and shine cars I restored a year ago to give all bidders/buyers an idea of what the finished product will look like .I have also ordered a black convertible top with a white perferated headliner and if winning bidder agrees with that color combination I am already ahead of the game and I have even installed the top for stretching purposes so when the time comes if winning bidder wants the black top, great but it is no trouble to install the color of your choice. I have also put the car altogether so the pictures with the windshield out ,bumpers off etc was last week.I thought this might give people a better understanding that these items are brand new and not month or years old. Thank you for taking the time to let me go over what I have here. I have earned my excellent feedback for one reason . I do as I say and buyers can feel at ease,that they will get what they bid on and in my case 100% of buyers have received more then they ever expected. I have offered these cars at no reserve and I have let the ebay community bid /buy in the past . I am changing things up a bit this time around .I am offering this with Free Shipping and have added it in the price that I'm asking because a lot of people concern themselves with shipping so I made it simple and easy for the buyer. I will either use Able Auto Transport and you can look them up online and they deliver from my door to yours or if you're close I may just deliver the car myself. This 1971 Super Beetle Convertible is being offered 1 time only where you can pick the final touches ,such as seat color ,top color ,headliner and door panel color and mix and match and have it your way. 1. Convertible top in pinpoint vinyl :. colors available Black,white,Navy blue,Oxford white and Beige ( also available in Canvas but for an extra $200.00 over winning bid) 2. Headliner in either crush vinyl or perferated vinyl Colors Black,white or tan 3. Carpet Colors available red,charcoal, brown,black ,beige ,oatmeal,saddle or salt and peper ( this also includes custom fit truck mats and spare tire cover ) 4. Door panels Colors available black, white , off white, red,beige,brown , gray ,charcoal gray,blue,tan ,creme white,fire engine red ,bright white or dark green ( some colors may take longer then others if your in any hurry order black or white ) Convertible top boot is in black only . A deposit of $2,500.00 is due immeidiatly by paypal or bank wire transfer or bank certified funds over nighted. The balance in full is due once all requested color combinations and installation of those requests have been completed and you have viewed the video of the car inside and out ,top to bottom and of the car running and driving with all lights,horn,washer wipers,brakes all working and then and only then full payment is to be sent within 24 hours after approving the car. You may also send an independent inspector to inspect the car prior to final payment. I have restored everything from all out show cars with 6 foot trophies to projects and well over 60 beetle convertibles and over 800 pictures of other restorations that have been done .Once car is ready the date will be set for the transporter to pick up the vehicle and bring it to you.If you choose to use your own transporter you will responsible for all shipping costs . The transporter I use is bonded and has all proper insurance. Ok, Back to the beetle. This has a fresh 1600 CC motor with a good manual 4 speed that I have inspected and it works as it should and is backed up with a new clutch,pressure plate and throw out barring . The engine also has new carbuator and exhaust ,in other words already tested and is turn key ready to go. I have purposely left off the running boards ,passenger side ,chrome moldings ,the dash ,windshield with new rubber ,front bumper so on and so on to let you know that this car will be freshly restored for you and not where someone states the car is restored inside and out. But what they really mean it was done 10 years ago.Below I will detail all the new parts and other then the items above ,the top ,door panels,headliner,and carpet I have everything ready to put the car together. I could easily have the car back together and pictured 100% complete in less then an afternoon minus the convertible top but I want to try this ad this way which works good for me and also for the buyer as if you were to get this same restoration would cost you what I am asking for the whole car.If your one that wants it his or her way and wants to be the first one to sit in the seats or the first one to drop the top and go for a cruise without worring about if the car has been smoked in ,spilled soda ,dirt ,grime etc then this one is for you. New Parts: New bumpers front and back New windshield with seal ( new seal for convertible top back window) New moldings New running boards New gravel guards New light bezels New sun visors New tie rods New dash New window cranks New vent window chrome and if I have forgotten something feel free to ask me Oh I forgot New tires and obviousley as stated above new convertible top,padding,headliner,carpet,door panels and seat covers.And the convertible top and headliner that is pictured is for reference only showing the quality of work and that it can be professionally installed very quickly as long as it is in black or white normally within 72 hours .Last but not least concerning the convertible top , this is not just the top and headliner ,there will be new rubber ,new tension cables ,new bows ,padding ,headliner and top . If you took this to a professional shop it would run you north of $2,000.00 just for the top with all the bells and whistle. The top frame has been sand blasted and powder coated back to original color. The suspension parts have been replaced or also sandblasted and re-installed This car will be far better then any beetle listed at the same price and this one will be fresh.Of Course this way of buying is not for everyone as some want the car immediatly but if you check out my feedback I have done this in the past. I have done convertible tops,different door panels and seat cover combinations and as long as you don't expect it done over night you will be over joyed at the car you will receive. The paint is only a few days old and is very shiny ,very smooth and very straight . I would consider it a show and shine quaility at most car shows. All out show cars are $20,000 or more so no unrealistic expectations. You wont be dissapointed. The underside is immaculate. I take the pressure and anxiety of buying a 40 year old car by traveling all over California spending thousands on fuel and lodging to find good solid California cars to start from and I walk away from many more then I will ever buy because they do not meet my standards .After I purchase the vehicle I do a complete check list top to bottom of any known issues and evaluate the car . I don't even waste my time with old engines .If it is rebuildable I rebuild it or a new engine is put in ,the tranmissions are pulled checked and again if needing replaced they are replaced. This goes on for suspension,steering,brakes etc. If I would not trust my 16 year old daughter in it then I wouldn't sell it.
