Hello ,First before we go any further please read my ad in it's entirety and don't just look at the pictures. Next I encourage all to check out my feedback as I do not sell hotwheels or baseball cards. I sell beetle convertibles that I pick up all over the State of California doing all the leg work for you and once I have the car back to my shop I do a full inspection and then I either fix any known problems or I let the next buyer know so he or she is not caught off guard. Buying these classic beetles you have to be very careful. You wouldn't want to find a beetle that is wore out or beyond repair. I hear of story after story of someone who was saving a buck on the price of the car only to get a surprise when the car shows up they are quite disappointed because most on ebay or online period are "dumping " the car and moving on to bigger and better things, or the car has sat for 20 years and it's anybody's guess the condition. My cars may not be show room perfect by any means. I do once or twice a year do a nut and bolt frame up restro, but this 1971 is not one of those elite cars. Your getting a good solid reliable car or as far as a beetle being reliable mine are as good as any in the country.I have recently put this 1971 super beetle convertible together and where possible I used original parts so the car could stay affordable for the next buyer. The highlights of the car ,rust free body ,new paint driver quality but no dents,dings or scratches very shiny and nice appearance. The engine is a 1600 cc dual port that is freshly rebuilt and only a hand full of test miles on the motor. The transmission ,brakes and steering as well as all electricial appear to be in very good condition and if you know anything about volkswagens they are very easy to maintain and great on fuel. The windshield wipers,speedometer, lights,horn were all working when we checked it but these volkswagens are notorious for bad connections . The front windshield has 2 quarter size chips and trim and chrome is in ok condition but far from perfect. There is brand new tires also on the car .The interior is in dire need of restoration but if you are one of those guys that don't have the time or resources to freshen up the interior with new carpet ,seat covers or door panels if the bidding reaches $4,500.00 I will include brand new interior which is a heck of a deal . I have a guy here locally about 40 miles from me who has everything in stock in black if you would like another color such as white ,tan or possibly blue I can also get that at no charge install all brand new interior minus sun visors. Last but not least I have a brand new convertible top in black that needs to be installed. If the bidding goes over $4,500.00 I will install the brand new convertible top for you or you can pick from white,black or blue top if you like something different then the common black top.Of course if the bidding goes less then $4,500.00 you can do the top and the interior yourself .This is not a auction that you are required to have any other work done by me .You can buy the car and finish it off your way yourself if thats what you would rather do. I only make the offer because I have done it in the past and I am actually finishing up one right now for a lady in North Carolina that ordered special order seat covers with a black top with a white headliner. She was very happy that she got to choose the car her way and I have also done this 6 or 7 times and if you see my feedback you can see that people are extremely happy. I will finish by saying there is no rust in the floor pans,shock towers,jack rails,heater channels ,luggage area or anywhere else .This is a very solid rust free California car . The car is located in Paso Robles Ca in the beautiful wine country ranked 3rd in the nation as the best place to live. I can help with shipping but all costs will be at the buyers expense.
