Answer - IT'S HERE! Presented here, in my opinion, is the best way to buy and finish a hot rod or street rod project. You can buy a completed car like this now for a great price, but chances are it has the paint and upholstery that you don't like or is out of style (Purple, teal, velor, tweed, you know what I mean!). You then have to redo what was done and will invariably find other problems. Once you are done you wish you had started fresh! You can also start from scratch, but you will pay more and have to wait a lot longer to get the car finished. Here is your chance to have the best of both worlds. The work that was completed was done by a high end professional shop. The components are high quality, but it is at a stage where you can customize it however you want. I am a business consultant and am selling this car for a client of mine. I used to own a hot rod shop and know how much time and effort goes into a car like this. I have summarized all of the details about the car below, but I want to highlight that is car is mocked-up so you can see the vision. Read the description carefully before you buy and I encourage you to come and see it in person. I am listing this as a no haggle, bottom line, one price, buy-it-now with the exception of the brand new wheels and tires that are custom fitted to the car and can be purchased for an additional $2,000. It comes with shop rollers. No offers, no trades. Sold on a Bill of Sale. 1. History · My client started this project 8 years ago in a high end shop in California by the Colorado River. · Three years and $50,000 later, they ran out of money and interest. You are getting a 60% discount! · I volunteered to get the car here, assess it, stage it and sell it for him. 2. Body · Fiberglass Wild Rods (an improvement of the Coast to Coast bodies) that has been heavily modified by the shop. Here is a history (this is not the shop that did this car): http://www.ozerodshop.net/historic.html. · The shop molded the front fenders into the running boards, rounded the doors, laid back the windshield, pancaked the hood, fit the doors and trunk with the right spacing, made removable panels on the side of the hoods, and built-up the back of the deck behind the seats, and fabricated a console. · This is one of the few I have ever seen without the original headlight buckets – this would allow installation of Mercedes, Guide, LED, 34 Ford, etc. headlights. · It is still in a “roughed out” state and will need a lot of finish work before painting, but having the doors and trunk aligned is a big plus. It is finished in a buff primer. · The grille is solid stainless steel – a work of art. · Comes with a side mounted hood hinge, but it is not attached. · Windshield is included, but not installed. · Comes with removable hard top – not prepped, still in original gel coat. 3. Running Gear · Very rare CRATE Street and Performance prepped Corvette LS-1 installed with billet serpentine pulley system and ceramic headers. It has 0 miles on it. · Matching CRATE Street and Performance prepped 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission with 0 miles and a Lokar shifter (not hooked-up, but correct application). · Narrowed Ford 9” rear with 3.70 gears, 4 link suspension. · Custom Matson radiator. · Independent Mustang II front end with power rack and pinion. · Air suspension front and rear – manually adjustable currently, needs compressor and tank when running. · Wilwood disks front, Ford discs rear, both have calipers. · Power brake booster and pedal shaft installed · Needs drive shaft. · Brand new billet Boyd Coddington Magneato wheels and Falken tires, 17x7 front, 20x10 rear are available for an extra $2,000 (No rubbing, even at lowest settings) – it comes with a set of shop rollers. 3. Interior · All mocked-up – Seats are folding chairs that can be cut down and moved to find optimal location. I get laughs, but they work great for fitting seats to your dimensions. · Billet steering wheel with Chevy adapter – sitting on cardboard tube to determine height. · Comes with billet gas and brake pedals, but not installed. · 54 Chevy gauge bezel is molded into the dash, Digital dash is a photocopy. · Bear claw latches and hinges installed on doors. · Door panels are cardboard patterns. Good luck and please feel free to contact me through eBay with any questions or if you would like to come buy and see the car in person. I also encourage you to do a completed listings search and see that these cars in a current finished condition still fetch top dollar. I tell everyone that if you are going to buy a fiberglass car, buy a stylized one like this, not a car that looks just like the original. This has a "work of art" look to it that will be fun to own for years to come.
