For sale is my 1969 Pontiac Firebird. I have owned the car for almost 12 years and I am the 3rd owner after buying it from the son of the original owner. The engine is a non-matching numbers Pontiac 400 (approx. 8k on rebuild), Holley 750 carb, Turbo 400 3-speed auto transmission with a TCI Saturday Night Special torque converter, Flowmaster 2.5” exhaust. Always garage kept and cared for like a trailer queen. Below is a summary of details: Paint is in good condition, a few pops and cracks, easy 20/20 at the least. Frame and floor pan are solid and subframe connectors installed. Trunk pan is in fair condition, some rust. Interior is in very good condition. Previous owner reupholstered the seats, new carpet, new headliner. Note, he didn’t include/redo dome light. Some fading on dash pieces and some rust near windshield on the dash plate. ***Non-functioning - No wiper motor - No heater motor and heater core went a few yrs ago, installed bypass kit, I don’t drive in the winter…. - Radio doesn’t work and I haven’t cared enough to replace it, the sound of the engine does it for me. Wheels are Ultra (not sure of exact model), tires are BF Goodrich P215/65R15 on the front, P255/60R15 on the back. Wheels are in good shape, tires have tons of tread left and in great shape. History since November-1999 - 2003 o Front and rear aftermarket NPD bumper replacements (original front “rough”, original rear painted???) Still have the originals. - 2005 o Gas tank o Bushings and body mounts o Tie rod ends o SSBC Front Disc Conversion Kit o Edelbrock valve covers o March Pulley System o Holley Electric Choke - 2008 o Starter - 2009-10 o Steering gear box o Fuel lines o TH400 Downshift Switch kit o Transmission rebuild (not due to failure) o Doug’s ceramic headers o Grant wood steering wheel o 3.42 rear end (the 4.10 was great but limiting for cruising) o Clutch fan - 2011 o Timing cover gasket (mechanic checked and verified gears are like brand new) o Oil line fittings o Spark plugs o Water pump Selling the car because I just don’t have time for her at the moment with having 2 young children. I would rather see it go to a good home then sit in my garage. The buy it now price of $11,800 is slightly higher then I want to cover listing/paypal costs. Car is up for sale locally so seller reserves the right to end auction early. Although price is negotiable, PLEASE no tire kickers, low ballers or “test pilots”. I do not need to sell the car so “$10k cash….or less” will not take the car. More then happy to meet with serious bidders at my end of town on non-rainy days.
