*****PLEASE NOTE: I am listing this car with NO RESERVE. If you would like to make an offer please leave a phone number or call me at (917) 749-4302 cell. Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GORGEOUS 1969 VOLKSWAGEN SINGLE CAB TRANSPORTER VAN/PICKUP TRUCK IN TWO TONE HAILING FROM SUNNY CALIFORNIA. VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Vehicle was acquired from California and supposedly it has been in CA most if not all its life until shipped to NY a few months ago. This is a single cab pickup/transporter/van configuration that you don't see around that often. Very useful and definitely collectible and a lot of fun. It has received a recent aesthetic redo and looks fairly good overall. Interior is in nicely presentable condition and remains mostly unaltered from the time it was built. Everything is fairly nice with only general wear from use. Driver's seat has a small tear on bottom cushion. Dash looks pretty good with a couple of cracks. Door panels very nice. Has stock rubber floormat on the floor. Overall a NICELY PRESENTABLE driver quality interior. Under the hood is the stock 4 cylinder engine that was overhauled in the last few years and is TURN-KEY and ready to go. Transmission shifts nice and smooth with no grinding, although shifter is a little stiff. Starts at the turn of the key and runs great. Brakes stop good. Steering is nice and tight with minimal play. An amazingly fun car to drive. Underside appears to be pretty SOLID throughout with only minor general road wear as you would expect from light use. Floorboards do show a few pinholes in a couple of places but nothing serious or an eye-sore. Frame appears to be pretty good with good rails, with a Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shows NICELY for a nice driver with minor imperfections here and there (rear wheel wells shows some filler as do a couple of other areas that could have been prepped better before painting). Some bubbling on the front by wiper arms, lower driver's side compartment door). Passenger lower compartment door has filler and doesn't shut flush. Front inner wheelwell/footwell seam has some small holes. Passenger side compartment insides could use to be painted/detailed and has some rust. Rear seat backs missing. Clutch should be replaced soon. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A GREAT LOOKING SINGLE CAB PICKUP/TRANSPORTER THAT CAN EASILY BECOME INVESTMENT QUALITY WITHOUT BOATLOADS OF MONEY. THESE OLDER VW VANS ARE BECOMING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND IN NICER SHAPE SUCH AS THIS ONE. NICE AND CLEAN CALIFORNIA CAR THAT IS WAITING FOR A NEW OWNER TO DRIVE IT AS IS WITH MINOR WORK OR DO SOME MINOR TLC AND HAVE A GREAT LOOKING DRIVER. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
