Vehicle Detail

Very nice 1970 GTO clone. Started life as a Lemans Sport Coupe with factory bucket seats and console. This car has brand new base coat/clear coat that is deep, straight, and show car worthy. Powered by a 400 cubic inch engine and 350 transmission. Has power steering, power brakes and cold factory A/C. EXTERIOR/SHEET METAL: Fresh PPG cranberry red paint with GTO cowl hood and rear spoiler. Nice, new black vinyl roof that is straight and tight. The bright work/chrome is not new but is in very good condition. The trunk and floors on this car were perfect when the restoration started. Trunk was sprayed with the correct spatter paint. UNDERCARRIAGE: Under side of the car was pressure washed with a 4000 psi washer and sprayed black. No undercoat was added to anything to show how good the original sheetmetal is. The exhaust pipes have surface rust but are solid with no leaks. The glasspacks sound great and give it an old school mellow rumble. The suspension is not new but feels tight and the car drives well. Visual inspection of the frame shows no wrinkles or evidence of any repairs. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: Good running 400 Pontiac motor with a new Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor. It has a very slight miss at idle but not enough to even shake the engine. It has great acceleration with no problems at all. A friend of mine is a Pontiac nut and said the engine numbers show the block to be a passenger car 70 model, the heads are 76 model X heads and the intake is a 71 model 4 barrel. Obviously the engine has been rebuilt/replaced at some point and as stated, it runs good. The transmission is Turbo 350 3 speed automatic that has a shift kit installed. INTERIOR: Here is a list of the new parts in the interior: carpet, carpet hold-down strips, headliner, dash cap, seat covers, all window felts and door weatherstrips--all new. The door panels are not new but in decent shape. The console needs to be recovered. It has a nice, 3 spoke refinished wood steering wheel. The interior is good except for the items mentioned. WHEELS/TIRES: Has brand new Cooper Cobra white letter tires. The wheels are correct Pontiac rally wheels that have been sandblasted, stenciled and painted. Has new chrome lugnuts and bright new red PMD center caps. Like any 40 year old car, this one is not perfect but I have tried to describe it honestly. This car is nice enough just like it is to hold its own at any local car show and GTO is one of the most recognizable, desireable muscle cars out there. I will be glad to assist with shipping in any way I can. Personal or third party inspections are welcome and encouraged. If you have any questions feel free to call or email. My cell: 903 268-3219. It has since been readjusted and it runs perfect. I added the video to show how well it runs and idles. Any questions, let me know. Many thanks to you active bidders and thanks for all the interest. On Jul-17-11 at 19:02:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I took a chance and lowered the reserve so as you can see, the reserve is met. Bid with confidence from this point forward.....Let me know if I can help in any way. Thanks very much.
