1965 Mustang Fastback 2+2, 302/5spd, disc brakes, A/C, console... Wimbledon White w/ Metallic Charcoal LeMans stripes Mechanically upgraded and visually subtle "restomod" built for everyday driving if desired. Overdrive and modern brakes added, as well as cold A/C, ability for MP3s, and quieted road noise. Stops and handles better than a '65 Shelby Mustang; more power AND gas mileage than a stock 289 '65 Mustang. (real Shelby's did have more power, but how much do they cost?) Most of the upgrades are listed below, many others are small, subtle changes worth seeing: 302/5.0L rebuilt 15,xxx miles ago with stock 2Vcarb (dressed as an original 289 with badging) T-5 5spd rebuilt with Jim's Gears Viper, 2-way alarm with keyless entry, two remotes and two sets of keys Hurst short-throw shifter with period correct shift knob and arm Ice-cold, r-134 A/C; low-drag rotary compressor Fluidyne, 4-row aluminum radiator; dual electric fans with adjustable, thermostat control and A/C bypass switch JME digital analog-style 6-gauge (speedometer, tach, fuel, temp, charging, oil pressure) with machine-turned inlay Pertronix electronic ignition with Mallory high-capacity coil Optima battery, upgraded alternator 4-wheel disc brakes; Baer drilled and slotted rotors (front) [The red-enameled calipers make it stop even better...] 9-inch rear end with 3.50 gears American Racing torq-thrust wheels BFG Radial T/A tires, less than 500 miles Borla stainless steel mufflers, true X-pipe and long tube headers GT rear valence exhaust with stainless tips Grab-a-Trak sport suspension (1-inch drop springs front and 4 1/2 leaf springs rear); KYB shocks and bushings Mustangs Plus weld-on chassis strengthening kit (part# 0402) New Upholstery, Dash Pad, 1969 Mustang front seats with headrests, fold-down rear with flip-up pass through New headliner and trunk mat, Dynamat sound deadener throughout roof Route66 CustomAutosound Stereo, Aux. Input and 10-disc changer; 6x9 speakers Aftermarket console with flip-up armrest, cup holders, cellphone mat and storage Bright-work and badging all new or recently polished All-new weather stripping (new window scrubbers and vent-window seals not switched out, but included) LED parking and taillights, sealed halogen headlights The paint is less than two years old, but does have some rock chips and a little bubbling on the front, lower corner of the door. Still a little overspray on some of the trim and dust in the paint but the overall appearance is a testament to how good the body is... Repaint and you have an immaculate show car, 4 barrel intake/carb and you can tear up the tires, or just drive anywhere, anytime the way it is and enjoy without excuses!
