Vehicle Detail

1985 AMC Eagle 4x4 Wagon, automatic with Select Trac 4 wheel drive. This was my mom's car which I am now selling as part of her estate. This is a relist with a LOWER reserve! 50,049 original miles. Garage kept. Was used daily up until about 5 years ago, then taken out a few times a year. Clear WI title with an issue date of 1/87 showing 20,970 miles at time of purchase. Purchased from a WI Ford dealer in Oconomowoc, title shows vehicle was previously titled in MT. Includes original owners manual documents. Exterior: One body repair done to the left front fender, headlights, grille from a light deer hit during current ownership; this should show up in Carfax. Unknown prior history. For a 1985 vehicle, exterior is very solid, easily a #3 by Old Cars Price Guides definitions. In the interest of full disclosure: Minor surface rust along lower dark brown panels of doors both sides. Some corrosion to lower panel between bumper and radiator. MINOR rust has started along rocker panels behind plastic, right side worse than left. Surface rust bubble on RF fender has not yet popped thru paint. Dent on leading edge of RF fender, see picture. Surface rust bubbles on RR door about the size of a quarter, see picture with key for size reference. All plastic wheel trim and ground effects panels intact but showing some chipping of paint. Roof rack complete, undamaged, shiny. Has center tie down brackets as well as cross bars. Hood shows wear from items being set on it. Rear gate hinges show no rust pitting, work smoothly. ORIGINAL AMC parts tags on rear lift struts, still hold liftgate open. All lights work. Left mirror glass has some ice scraper damage. Windshield has a crack within the bottom 1" of the right lower corner, going from bottom to pillar. It will not spread upward and has been this way for as long as I can remember. Trailer hitch is a light duty bumper mount and was used for light utility trailer. Interior: All interior panels intact, color fade on plastic more of an issue than wear. RR speaker grille is cracked. Visors are the vinyl style from a salvage yard due to typical failure of the hinge on the originals; the originals are included with the vehicle. Carpet is original and shows no tears, significant wear, or stains. Seats are factory cloth and have no tears, stains, or serious wear areas. Luggage area cover, spring still holds cover tight. New headliner fabric. Factory original jack and space saver spare. Mechanical: 258 ci 6-cyl, automatic trans, a/c (compressor works, blows cool air). System still has R-12, I will include two untapped small cans of Cold Shot (with original price tags still in place - use them or treat them as collector items). Select Trac 4x4 with dash mount vacuum control lever. Starts, runs, drives out well. 4x4 appears to engage and disengage with no problems. Most recent trip 25 miles, combination city & highway to get it to my home, with no problems. Typical seal leaks for this age vehicle. Power brakes work, booster and master holding fine. Power steering works fine, as does cruise control. Tires: Goodrich Traction T/A. These are about 6 years old, transferred from another vehicle, tread depth range 4/32 - 7/32. Questions, please ask before bidding. I have more photos and will do my best to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. Winning bidder to submit $200 deposit through Pay Pal within 48 hours of auction end. Balance of winning bid to be paid by cash or certified bank check at vehicle pick up or within 10 days, whichever is sooner. I am selling this as the executor of the estate, winning bidder will receive a clear (no liens or brands) WI title and documents needed to transfer the title. Vehicle is located in Pewaukee, WI - midway between Milwaukee and Madison on I-94. Winning bidder to make arrangements for vehicle pick up or transportation. While this vehicle is driveable, let's be realistic: It is 26 years old and has had very limited use over the last 8 years. One should assume that all belts, hoses, brakes, seals and fluids need to be inspected and verified safe or replaced prior to extended use. Seller assumes no responsiblity for buyer's decision on transportation choice.
