1990 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Highly desirable 6 cylinder 300SL. This is a 2 owner car, originally purchased by an NFL player in Atlanta, GA. Original sticker price was $74,250! This car has been well taken care of and is in excellent condition, with records! I have owned the car since 2001, and have completed only routine maintenance with the exception of replacing most of the AC components including the evaporator and heater core behind the dash. The car is in excellent condition and runs well. The 6 cylinder MB engines are known to be very reliable making them highly desirable. The interior is in excellent condition, as is the original paint. The only known issue is with the hydraulic top system. The top is raised and lowered by a system of actuators, and there is a leak in the system. The actuators can be removed and sent off to be rebuilt for $40 - $50 each. Currently, the top can only be raised and lowered manually using a tool. The hard top is in excellent condition, the blue german canvas top has a small 1"-2" tear in back corner of the top but still has a few serviceable years left. The only issues with the exterior paint is a small "scuff " on one corner of the front bumper in the plastic bumper material. This car is sold with the pictured wheels and tires, the original wheels and 3 addtional brand new wheels that match those currently on the car. I also have a binder with records of work performed back to the original window sticker. The original owners manual and a MB service manual is also included. The top cover and roll bar windscreen pictured in the trunk are also included. The car is located in North Atlanta, and I encourage you to inspect and test drive the car prior to bidding.
