This is a 1969 Chevy Pick up, 350 with Turbo 350 trans, 12 bolt posi rear end that is locked. Bought for my son that is about to turn 16 with the intent to work on it together, he has decided he doesnt like it nor does he want to work on it. It is driveable now, I drive it about once a week to work that is a 20 mile trip. It is not however an every day driver yet. Needs: Wiper motor, drivers door window regulator, heater core-before winter, heat/vent controls, radio hooked up( has one but no speakers or antenna) Could use/what we planned to install: power steering, power disc brakes, after market a/c. New items we installed: brake booster, steering wheel with turn signal switch, new door rubbers and door seal(both sides), new chrome rear diff cover. The engine is out of a mid 80's chevy truck, installed prior to me getting truck, with HEI and 4 barrel carb. headers and new exhaust with glass packs(little loud but sounds good). The shifter is a Hurst ratchet shifter in the floor. 16" wheels with good tires, they are 6 lug. Steering is tight and doesnt road walk like some older trucks I have driven. It is fun to drive when its not 100 degrees. Radiator is not stock, looks to be a good 4 row radiator. All lights work, replace the side marker lights, and installed the front turn signals out of a salvage yard truck(they are ok, just not new) This truck is a good start for someone with time and the money to make an extremely nice truck, Im just out of money or desire since my son is not cooperating with the project and I do not want to let him loose in it without the power steering and power brakes, other than that I would be ok with letting him drive it everyday.
