NO RESERVE, THIS CAR IS SELLING THIS WEEK. BUY IT NOW PRICE IS ADDED TO AVOID ALL THE EMAILS I'VE BEEN GETTING ASKING FOR MY PRICE TO END IT EARLY. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The day I swore would never come is here… the day I put my V up for sale. Let me start by answering the most common question I know will come up… “Why are you selling it?”. Well, I bought her December of 2009 as a Christmas present for myself when business was good (title in hand, kind of good). I literally went from driving a 1992 Mazda Miata with a hole in the roof that I could put my hand through, to this beautiful piece of American art in motion. Again, business WAS good and only getting better. Long story short, I’ve recently parted ways with my business partners to start my own company. While I’ve calculated and budgeted for the transition from cash flow to cash flow, I’m realizing that the extra money could speed things up by 6-8 months. I bought it from a dealer in Clearwater who kept it in pristine condition and took full advantage of not only the warranty, but the fact that his brother in-law was the service manager at Cadillac. So I really lucked out on getting a mint car and did everything to keep it that way. I did a lot of research to make sure I got a headache free car, and one of my friends has a Z06 Vette with the same engine and said its been bullet proof for 160,000 miles (his Vette is at about 180,000 miles now). I’m very reluctant to sell her as she’s basically become part of my identity with all my friends who ask about it every time I see them (which will really hurt if I sell her). I’ve never had a nice car, much less an envied car. I never had the money to be a “car guy” who tricks out cars and races them either, so to own a car that literally gets compliments 30-50% of the time I park, valet, pump gas, or even stop at a red-light with windows down… lets just say its something new to me that I am really going to hate doing without. Seriously, this car gets an amazing amount of attention by both car-enthusiasts and grandmas. My favorite reaction was from an old white-haired woman outside the mall, “I like your car, it looks scary”. I know I’m rambling on, but I seriously have to keep reminding myself “victory demands sacrifice” just to convince myself to follow through with selling. This car is a head-turning, show-stopping, panty-dropper… to get anything that comes even close, you’d be dropping another 10 grand for an E55 benz… and then you have to deal with a german car that will be in the shop every other month (my business partner had one for about 6 months before he decided he was tired of his mechanic seeing it more than he did). You will not find a car anywhere close to this without spending at least $5k more… trust me, I would have bought something else if that were the case. As for Victoria… she’s been babied. When people ask how I like the car, I always respond with “I don’t know if I’ll be able to love my own children as much”. All my friends are super gear heads, including 2 professional mechanics, one with his own shop… so lets just say I used that to my advantage and she was very well taken care of. If you’re not familiar with this car, do some research. Watch the TopGear video from when they first introduced this model http://www.streetfire.net/video/092-top-gear-cadillac-ctsv_185134.htm Watch as the V spanks the Audi S4 on the straight away AND corners in the road course. Appreciate the smug Europeans eat their words as the American muscle destroys their expectations. The reason I bought this car is because I wanted something that reflected a mid-twenties business owner… fun and respectable, but also practical (instead of 2door Z06 Vette) and mature for taking clients to lunch. This car is muscle wrapped in class… like putting Chuck Norris in a tuxedo. This is a 4 door Z06 with the class of a Caddy. Aside from the factory goodies, here’s a couple mods done: 3M Carbon Fiber Vinyl roof wrapped 3M Carbon Fiber Vinyl emblems wrapped 3M Carbon Fiber Vinyl window pillars wrapped 3M Carbon Fiber Vinyl grill trim wrapped Custom blacked out V emblems Light tint on reverse lights (still legal and removable) Light smoke tint on side markers Light smoke tint on fog and parking lights Light smoke tint on headlights K&N cold air intake and box Skip shift delete Custom Tuning by world renowned tuning Mase Engineering (442hp instead of 405hp stock) Eibiech sport suspension kit (believed to be the last set on Earth, as I called 9 places before finding them) CUSTOM MADE suspension relocating kit (impossible to lower the car like I did without doing this due to self-leveling air-ride suspension. That means most of the lowered V’s out there had to throw out the beautiful factory suspension that Cadillac is known for, not me!) Professionally built and installed. Custom D3 VR-3P 20” black and red wheels in 6 lug (the guy I bought them from paid $7,000 for the wheels and tires. He was selling his V, and I happened to grab them from him. The 6 lug pattern is very rare on cars, making after market rims hard to find and very pricey. I also kept the stock wheels, which are still sick, and I can include them if the price is right.) Info on the wheels: The VR3P is a split 5 spoke,3-piece design. Each wheel is built with forged 6061 T6 aluminum centers, 6061 T6 aluminum spun rim halves, stainless steel aircraft-grade fasteners, and feature a powder coated or chrome finish with a polished, powder coated lip. Each wheel is built to order. I only saw one guy selling these on ebay, and they were only 18’s and he was still asking at least $1,100 each depending on width and options, so you could easily assume 20’s this wide will be well above that new. I’ve only seen 1 other V in this generation with aftermarket wheels. Combine that with the fact that I’ve never seen one lowered… lets just say even the other V owners turn their heads. Custom Corvette Z06 engine covers in red and black (I never got around to putting them on the engine, as I never show the car off, but I know a lot of V guys like putting the Z06 stuff on since it’s the same engine. The factory engine cover is currently on the car still. Factory premium wheels can be thrown in if the price is right. Looking around ebaymotors, I see them selling for over $200 individually and sets or 4 for over $1,000 without tires. I don’t intend to expect that much if theyre bundled in with the car. The factory wheels do have tires on them and have been sitting in my garage since the switch, so theres no concern of sun rotting. For “negatives” or “issues”, there really isn’t anything. The check engine light pops on, but I had the code read and its just from the after market intake and tuning, easy fix for a tuner or dealer, but there’s no need. Another alert pops up for tire pressure, as I’ve never gotten around to having the tire pressure sensors in the new wheels programmed ($25 per tire at any shop that sells rims or tires, but working 12 hours a day for 6 days a week makes it hard to rationalize spending time on anything that isn’t essential. Since I live in South Florida, I’ve never spent less than 3 hours in a tire/wheel garage… easier to just turn off the alert). As far as my “motivation level”, I’d say I’m a bit of a mix. I’m motivated to sell in the sense that I just want to get it over with before I change my mind, but not in the sense that I’m going to drop my pants on the deal. As far as trades, I’m not really interested in another car in the driveway, but I’ve been considering getting back into motorcycles again. Maybe a crotch rocket (preferably 1000cc+), or I may also consider a super motard, cruiser, chopper, or bobber (trade value $3-5k)… turn key, no projects. I’m also a slight gun nut, so let me know what you have and we may be able to work something out… but at the end of the day, I’m doing this for money to invest in advertising, software, and business expenses… so I’ll tell you now not to expect me to be eager to take trades… cash is king. Even with a trade, I’ll still be needing five figures in cash… so we probably can’t work out a trade for your Agusta F4 unless you’re willing to practically give it to me plus 10 stacks lol. Again, I’m OPEN to trades, not LOOKING for them… I’ll usually prefer the green stuff. I’m also putting the car up for sale locally, in the near future, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for shipping unless other deal is negotiated before. I’ll help you within reason, but if you live on an Alaskan Island, you figure it out. No warranty. As is, where is. The best way to reach me is synasthetic@gmail.com, I dont know how often I'll be checking my ebay inbox, but that email goes to my phone.
