Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1957 Chevrolet Corvette. An American Icon / Time Machine I hate to sell her but she needs a home where she will get more use. She has been pampered and loved while in my stable. She does has a different long block than the 283 she is supposed to have. It's a NON restored vehicle. Which is why I set the reserve price way below $50,000. You can buy her and keep the 30 even up to 50 thousand extra you save off a totally restored one in your pocket or use part of the money you save to bring this one yourself up to flawless Top Flight. Best part is this car will always hold it's value and appreciate as the years go by even just the way she is. Most of her is original and in quite nice condition as the pictures will attest to. She's totally road worthy currently licensed and inspected. She has Real 1957 Texas plates on her and she's been thoroughly safety inspected and lubed, tuned up and checked by Dan Martin, the expert at Hill Country Vettes. She has NEW belts, hoses, brakes, Coker Classic White Wall Tires, carpet, battery, generator, voltage regulator, water pump, antenna, emblems and many many other NOS replaced parts on her. Even the hose clamps are factory correct. She comes complete with a factory assembly / shop manual and many other goodies. Everything that's been replaced has been done keeping in mind her heritage and I use only NOS parts and NCRS approved factory parts. She is totally correct on the outside and in the drivers cockpit for her year except the engine block & intake manifold which was replaced by someone way before me and the previous owner 19 years ago. The paint on her was re-done to factory colors by the local Chevrolet dealer in San Diego 19 years ago. The interior has new carpet matched exact to original factory and shows no sign of wear. All the Gauges work perfect. but some have fine crazing in the plexi glass not visable except up super close. All Lights all work perfect. The chrome, as one would expect, has slight imperfections with some light pitting and minor rub thrus in certain spots and shows its patina as expected for an original car this old. The Doors have NEW "correct" rubber and the windshield seal does has rubber cracks but is still sealed tightly. Her paint is quite shiny & nice showing only a few minor chips I have filled in. She's Venetian Red with Polo White Insets. She runs like a TOP and drives great! She's just as much fun even without the full restoration. She really turns heads!! Lots of people come up to me and tell me they like her better than a full restoration because you can tell she's the real deal, her patina sets her apart remember a car is only factory assembled once. Put a correct year 283 in her and she becomes a survivor. You of course can do whatever you wish once she's yours. Drive her the way she is and enjoy all the attention or fully restore her to total perfection. Or you could put another chassis under her sell off a ton valuable parts and make her a custom resto rod. It's entirely up to you. One thing is for sure, the FUN factor is thru the roof whereever and whenever you take her out for a spin. She has TWO extremely rare factory options. One is the working AM Wonderbar Radio, this was the first year of this break thru radio and very very few have it because it was an expensive option. the other is a Heater.. yup a heater was an option in '57. Here's another biggie, the original TICKING clock still works and keeps perfect time. There is no soft top, it came only with a HARD TOP which I have never used since I am 6'1" high. It's in decent condition. The Headliner is perfect but all the plexi glass is crazed and needs to be replaced. If your looking for a flawless trailer queen this is not the car for you. However if your looking for a 57 Corvette to just drive and enjoy she's perfect just the way she is! Remember she's 54 Years young and shows the flaws and petina of a car of her age...The Mileage is actuaI original miles and I have a totally clear title.
