This 1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SL is one of the most sought out vehicles in the series. With its powerful 8 cylinder motor, it darts down the road with ease and handles corners like a sports coupe should. The color Red makes it clearly a head turner everywhere you go. This particular car has had extensive repair to keep its value. The most expensive was its recent Motor overhaul which came to the expense of $3600.00. I have only put about five thousand miles on it. When you see and feel the motor you can surely tell. She starts on the first try and shows no sign of any leaks and is whisper-quiet, warmed and idling. Transmission shifts smoothly like it should. The interior shows very little wear and the previous owner had a center console made for it having enjoyed leaning on it, when enjoying the performance. This SL is not perfect however it could use a little TLC. The Paint Shines and looks great but could be redone to be ABSOLUTELY perfect. The Soft top needs to be replaced but is very usable. This vehicle passed its Vehicle Inspection from a certified inspector and is ready to drive. Did I mention that old leather smell that lets you know you're in a real car. There is one small tear in the driver's seat. I personally drove this car on a 1,100 mile trip and it ran like a dream (I got pulled over 4 times in Kansas)... maybe too good.
