Vehicle Detail
Condition: Adult owned and garaged. This bike is stock, except for heated grips. It is very clean and in great condition. I've always used Mobil 1 Synthetic Motorcycle oil. It is a 6 speed, liquid cooled v4 engine, LCD dash with air temp, engine temp, fuel gauge, mileage, two trip meters and clock. The battery is a year old. The tires are Dunlop Roadsmarts and were put on at the end the season last year and have less than 500 miles on them. The clutch and brakes were flushed when the tires were put on. The Chain was replaced with a DID at 20K miles, I lube and adjust it every 500 miles or so. It is a used bike with some very small scratches and stone chips, no cracks and never laid down, the paint shines like new with no dents or rust. There are no cracks in the plastic bodywork. I've installed 3M paint protection film over a lot of the bike and most of the tank, so the paint is really in great shape with only a few minor scratches and scrapes: Beyond normal wear, there are a few notable items, which I've included pictures of. The left mirror has a scrape in the plastic. There is a small dent in the exhaust header and finally there is a long scrape on the bottom right hand side of the bike. Something hit the bike a speed (I think it was a rabbit) and caused the scratch and the exhaust dent. They aren't noticeable unless you squat down at ground level. The windscreen has some sticker residue. This bike needs nothing, just a pilot to ride her. It rides much nicer and more comfortable than most sport bikes, but she’s just as much fun in the corners. Features: She has a nice V4 growl and rumble below 6K RPM and around 7K RPM she goes from two valve mode to four valve and the extra power kicks in and it's more like a regular four above 7K (more sewing machine smooth and less V4 rumble) It comes with the rear seat cowl, removable side bags, and passenger handles. I have added heated grips with as well. The rear seat cowl just slides on so it's easy/on off if you have a passenger. Actually I never put it on the bike before, so it's brand new. The hardbags are pretty big and I've done two week trips on the bike with ease, and still had plenty of room to pick up souvenirs for my daughter. History: I purchased the bike new in July of 2005. Every year I set out on a 10-14 day road trip, and this has been my touring bike. (I have a different bike I commute with) I've been everywhere on her, literally coast to coast and around the Great Lakes. 300-400 mile days are easy, I have done a few crazy 800-1000 mile days as well. Unlike my ex-wife, I will cry over her when shes gone. Shipping and payment: $500 due within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal. The rest due before shipping or cash / in person on pickup. The bike is also for sale locally, so the auction may end at any time. The mileage will increase as I still ride the bike around town.
