*****PLEASE NOTE: I am listing this car with NO RESERVE. You call me at (917) 749-4302 cell. Lets make these bids legit please. These auctions cost money and I don't have time to start chasing you. Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A VERY NICE LOOKING 1968 FORD MUSTANG HARDTOP GT 390 FE BIG BLOCK TRIBUTE CAR WITH 98K ORIGINAL MILES! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Factory Options: 1) Power steering 2) Manual brakes 3) Dual exhaust 4) Standard interior 5) GT package (body "C" stripe", hood stripes, emblems, rear exhaust tips, fog lights) 6) Bucket seats w/floor shift 7) Vinyl roof 8) Automatic Transmission 9) Front spoiler 10) Stock 14" GT wheels wearing good radial tires The car comes from Long Island, NY. I've had it for about 6 months now and have been redoing the car a little at a time. When I got it, the owner had recently completely overhauled the engine and transmission, but left a lot of tlc to do on the body and interior. I sent it to my shop to have the small body issues addressed. Interior received a new carpet and some cleaning which is basically all it needed. The outside was adorned with GT equipment and appearance package as you can see and it really pops out when you look at the car. Very nice and solid throughout and an excellent driver. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats are nice with minor wear. Carpet is new. Dash pad is very nice. Door panels in good shape. Nice steering wheel. Vinyl roof is supposedly original and in very good shape with no rips. Headliner is nice with a couple of small holes. Overall a nicely presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood, the factory c-code 289 has been replaced with an "S-CODE" spec 390ci FE big block that is virtually all stock with minor internal upgrades from the rebuild (with receipts from the shop). Transmission is an automatic C6 with REVERSE VALVE BODY that shifts well. Starts easily and sounds great . Good stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now without worries, just tune it the way you want and you're ready to go. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, and a few times on the highway on the way to a local cruise night or car show, never on any long trips. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with good luster for a nice driver (NOT a showcar of course). Some minor imperfections here and there from use as you would expect like chips/touch-ups/minor scratches and the like. Small tranny leak by the front "O" ring. Dipstick for transmission fluid is not correct. Underside has been undercoated and has had some minor patches on the floors, but overall they look fairly solid. GOOD TRUNK as well. Torque boxes and frame rails appear to be in fair to good shape overall withOUT a ton of the usual Mustang rust. Perhaps a light or two could use bulbs. Fog lights not connected. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A SHARP LOOKING CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER AS IT IS WITH VERY MINOR WORK. HOP IN AND DRIVE IT NOW AND FEEL THE POWER AND TORQUE OF THE FRESHLY REBUILT 390 AS YOU FINISH RESTORING IT AS YOU SEE FIT. VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A SHARP 1968 FORD MUSTANG HARDTOP GT 390 FE BIG BLOCK TRIBUTE THAT IS NEARLY TURN-KEY AND WILL DRIVE ANYWHERE!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
