Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1967 Mustang convertible. I am relisting the car with a lowered reserve and "Buy it Now" option. It is a well optioned car, which has a "C" code 289 V-8, factory four speed, factory air conditioning (compressor no longer with car), "Sports Sprint" package (67 was first year this came with V-8), rare factory stereo 8-track, interior decor group with full console, and exterior decor group with turn signals in the hood. The car still has the buck tag in place under the hood, which nicely documents the options listed. The factory ID plate is still affixed to the driver door, although I could not get a clear picture of it. The car is painted the original dark ivy green (code Y) and has a saddle interior (code 2F). The car starts easily and idles well. It tracks down the road fine. It shifts well in all four gears and reverse. The brakes work, but feel soft, and as such I would recommend the new owner arrange to tow or trailer the vehicle until that issue is addressed. The headlights, tail lights and turn signals work, as does the horn, speedo and tach. Wipers do not currently work, nor does the radio. This car has a MANUAL top. The top is in need of replacement, but currently keeps the weather out. Because of its condition, I have not lowered it. Tires match and are in good shape. Glass appears original and is in good shape. This is a running and driving car, but in my opinion, needs and deserves a full restoration. The car is complete. The interior has had some restoration, and is in good condition. The seats have no rips, and the dash has no cracks. Original console is in good shape. Original seatbelts still in place. Car needs body work. The paint is in poor condition and is cracked, faded and sunburned. The car spent the last several years in Florida and Texas and saw too much sun. There is old body work coming through on the front quarters. There are many scratches, nicks, dents etc. in paint. The front bumper is dented. The floors and trunk have had decent amateur repair done to them, and are solid. The car has a good stance and does NOT sag. Overall, underside, torque boxes and typical Mustang problem spots are not bad. There is rust spot in area under battery box. I have clear title in hand. Bidders with no feedback will be cancelled. Bidders with negative feedback or less than 10 transactions must contact me before bidding. $500 deposit through paypal within 24 hours of auction close, and balance is payable by CASHIERS CHECK ONLY, issued by recognized US banking institution, within SEVEN days of auction close. Car must be picked up in a reasonable amount of time, as I am primarily selling this car due to storage issues. Buyer responsible for shipping. I reserve to end auction at any time. Car is for sale locally. Not looking for trades. Respectfully, please don't bid if you currently dont have finances in place to buy the car. When was the last time you saw a '67 convertible with four speed and air? I welcome "in person" inspection of the vehicle. Thanks for looking !!!!!!
