Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with the WS6 package which includes ram air and a six-speed manual transmission. The vehicle has minor issues such as, passenger power window is weak. It goes up and down but it will slow down ans stop working. I needs a few minutes for it to work again. Might be a dying power window motor. Same with the driver side except it's not weak, but works fine until it just stops working overall. I would suggest changing both window motors. Oddly, this is more common than you would think. I worked at a auto parts store and knew people with the same car and they would tell me that they had similar issues with theirs. Another issue with the vehicle is the parking brake. I believe the spring broke so that needs to be replaced. I park the car in gear to keep it from rolling down a hill. The interior is very much intact, though there are some tiny screw holes on the dash panel where there once was a RPM tach. Original stereo has been removed and replaced with a kenwood cd player. As far as the exterior, cosmetically there are a few light scratches. The kind that you would expect from a 9 year old car. There are no dents. There is one long scratch on the driver side, as someone thought it would be funny to key the car. Being that the car is black, it is hard to see it from a distance but is easily seen from up close. The vehicle has been dropped two inches that really gives it a sports car look. Because of that some paint under the front bumper has been scratched off and is visible more from a distance rather than up close. The motor and transmission are both SOLID and have some performance upgrades. The motor is K&N equipped and I added long tube headers which connect to a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system. It gives it some power and a nice muscle car rumble, though not exaggerated . The transmission is also strong... I recently change the clutch to a performance SPEC clutch and clutch system so all that is good, though I haven't had time to break it in. SPEC recommends one thousand miles to break in their clutches, I have only put in around 300 miles. Feels smooth either way. Break system is all very good. Last year I installed some performance ceramic pads, front and rear, and have some performance drilled and slotted disc rotors, front and rear. As far as matinance goes, I did change the oil every 3,000 miles and have used nothing but octane 91. Car could use some new tires. Thank you for your interest in this rare vehicle and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I would love to keep the car myself, but I am moving from California to New Jersey so I won't be needing it out there, plus I have no intentions on driving cross country.
