1939 Packard club coupe has been in storage for years. The car is an excellent candidate for a total restoration as it has a rock solid body. No rot in floors either. The fenders have some dents and dings with some light surface rust here and there where the paint has chipped off but, overall would be an easy restoration. I have done some work on the car but do not have the funds to continue. The brakes have been completely done, new wheel cylinders, shoes, hoses, spring kits, master cylinder, and resurfaced brake drums. Only one rear brake line needed to be replaced because someone in the past used a compression fitting on it. A remanufactured clutch disc and pressure plate assembly were installed along with a new throwout bearing and pilot bearing. A NOS ring gear was also installed. The original flywheel was resurfaced. The engine and transmission oil were changed. The starter was rebuilt and a NOS solenoid installed. I did get the engine to run briefly by putting some fuel down the carburetor but, it will need a good rebuilding. I'm sure the fuel pump will also need some attention. Ignition wires need to be replaced as they are very hard and not flexible anymore, add a tune-up to the " in need of " list. Fresh coolant was also put into car. The car is complete except it's missing the correct cigarette lighter and the trunk/glove box key is missing otherwise I think it's all there. I know the horn, emergency brake and windshield wipers work. There is no cracked or broken glass. The car rolls very easy. There are some spare parts in the trunk. This car is for sale locally so it's possible I may end this auction early. Any questions please ask.
