1971 Chevrolet Chevelle 2dr. 400/400/373 - "Heavy Chevy" with - SS Badging. 400ci motor, 400 auto transmission, 10 bolt 373 posi. Car was painted by previous owner aprox 7/8 years ago.I have owned this car 3 years.This is a no reserve auction, Cash only, selling because I lost interest, don't mistake this for a distress sale because it is not. No shipping, I will not ship or accept money grams or checks do not ask. Motor is a 511 block date code 11/70 400ci stroked.Engine is fully studded 4 bolt main,JE deep dish forged pistons, H-beam rods,steel crank,sfi flexplate,dual quad edelbrock carbs,Dart Pro 1 64cc heads 205 ss valves,1.6 steel roller rockers, fluid crank damper, 510 lift hydrolic cam,gear drive,motor is internally balanced,dyno at 490hp, has less then 900 miles on it.professionally built last year, solid motor mounts,big moroso pan,msd ignition. Transmission is mostly stock turbo 400 - with a tint stall converter it. I do have a gently used stage 2 Pat Mussi with a brand new 2800/3200 converter thats not installed. Hood is stock steel cowl dual quads fits under hood perfect. Radio is one of those after market am/fm replica and works when it wants to. The rear is a 10 bolt 373 Posi - giant bee cool radiator with 2 electric fans runs at 160 all day long.SS 2 1/2 exaust system,big dyna tech headers. Car has buckets, rare tilt steering colum, and a console horse shoe shifter, the console is not bolted down and looks after market.(I think it was orig a colum shift car) Car has front and rear sway bars,last new new stock springs and shocks front and rear. The origional rims have been powder coated so the paint was baked on and stock factory color. The front disc brakes calipers were also powder coated blue and has slotted rotors on front, drum brakes on rear. Billit hood hinges, front and rear, chrome brake booster with seperate electric vacum pump. I have a brand new Classic Auto air kit, with correct pullys and new rebuilt heater control unit cost me $1600 not yet installed it had the high output compressor blower with all brackets and wiring. I also have new bumpers with brackets not installed and a quick ratio power steering box not yet installed and other misc parts. I have attached pictures, the drivers qtr panel has a bubble. Car looks great drives awsome. I reccomend anyone to come view the Chevelle prior to bidding. could use a good detail.No overseas, no money orders,bid to win and own! I will post any additional details so keep a look out. Car has no emergency brake cable currently connected and could use a interior carpet. Feel free to ask questions prior to bidding.Cars in Bellmore NY 11710.On Jul-05-11 at 11:26:23 PDT, seller added the following information: A response to a few questions: Gas tank is newer about 4 years old, Car does not leak any fluids, Floor pans and trunk pans are origional and in good shape, all gauges work except Amp, alt was changed to a 1 wire type, directional work but they don't light in the cluster bulbs maybe out.Gas milage is not bad even though it has 2 Carbs, drives awsome and straight. The bubbles I posted in the picture are on the drivers qtr panel and has small spot on drivers door. Paint is fair, needs to be buffed and detailed, the carpet is faded, and one small tear in headliner near the sun visor. The gently used stage 2 trans T400 I have is included in the auction with the brand new 2800 - 3200 converter it has kevlar bands,shift kit and lokar billet accessories like kickdown and dip stick, it is not installed but included. Car is a great driver, I just lost interest and have no time... The a/c heat from classic air is also included one of the best after mkt's available and works better then stock stuff....
