“SWEET” – The word most used to describe this car. A very refined example of the Willys, artistically pleasing. 1949 Willys Jeepster (Flat Fender). Black over original British Racing Green/Brown distressed leather interior.Prior to restoration this was a solid example with everything original except for one door handle. This is an all original 463-2WD 4 cyl. L-head, Three on the Tree with Overdrive, 6 volt complete overhaul-machined-bored to .040/.040-cranshaft to .020/.020 balanced, valves, seats guides, new pistons-rings-bearings-timing gears-cam bearing-gaskets. The entire front end rebuilt from frame up – steering, suspension, drive train (all mounts, bushings, seals, bolts, replaced Detroit style driveline with Spicer Driveline) Replaced original, new or replicated: Hand picked brown distressed leather upholstery-boot-interior panels, convertible top - rear seat curtain pouch and side curtains (black Sunbrella marine grade replicated from originals), steering wheel (restored), door handle (replica), complete wiring and wiring harness, firewall insulation, gas tank, radiator, hoses, clamps, cables, radial tires, rear leaf springs, hub caps, exhaust, brake master and lines, generator, battery, heater box, bulbs, air filter, all rubbers-bushings, knobs, headlights, tail lenses, and every electrical and mechanical part necessary to make a safe and dependable driver (the invoiced list of parts is available upon request). The original glass, the original 62 year old sun visors, and all other body parts are intact. The paint is a single stage PPG original British Racing Green with Black above the trim line, buffed and always waxed. The color and interior is not factory specifications, original Willys were never this nice!When I got this car 15 years ago the body was strait, clean, correct and all parts were intact except for the right interior door handle, and the original heater box had been replaced. I believe this was a one owner vehicle as it contained Mid-States Jeepster Club letters in a binder dating back to the clubs inception. The owner passed away and the car was being sold by a gas station mechanic who had worked on it. I have enjoyed driving this car regularly in the California sun, kids in tow on the weekends. It is now time for someone else to enjoy this gorgeous car. Best of luck!
