No reserve on 1970 BMW R50/5. Minimum bid is well below my cost. This beautiful R50 was restored a few years ago by a great shop and sleeved with 600cc cylinders. I estimate 3-5k or less miles since the resto. (Probably less). I bought it used and have put less than 500 miles on it. As the enthusiasts will immediately know, this has very non-stock colors and a Italian reproduction seat, etc. If you are looking for original this may not be for you. However, if you want a perfectly sorted great looking boxer it may be right. The bike is not flawless, but very close. It's a rider, but there are no imperfections to note. The pics tell the story and it looks better in person. I put virtually no miles on this because I have a large motorcycle collection. I just had it tuned by the best guy in our area - a true expert - and he suggested I rebuild the front forks and put on new rear shocks. I also did some work on the electrical system. Pictures of the $2k in invoices are included. Please note my feedback, particularly for sales. Everyone has been more than satisfied. I try to represent things fairly. This bike is in exceptional shape. It is perfectly sorted. I have /2 and just bought a '74 Ducati GT so now I really don't ride this. Runs as well as it looks. I just bought an expensive car and need to thin the herd in the garage for space. This bike will exceed expectations, but, if after inspection you are not satisfied for any reason, or no reason at all, you can walk from the transaction. No disappointments. I reserve the right to end the auction early and reject bids from folks with poor feedback. No title in CT for this old a bike, so bill of sale and you can pick up the bike in New Canaan, CT after funds clear. I'm about an hour north of NYC.
