No Reserve This little Greenbrier was bought new and used by a radio station, it was then bought and used at a small airport for many years and then retired and parked away for the last 18 years. It had been started periodically in that 18 years, so the engine fired right up and came back to life with ease. She is nice and solid. It has spent its life servicing sunny Arizona (330 days a year of beautiful sunshine). Surface rust only on the middle part of the floor, but no rust through. The undercarriage is perfect, no rust or patchwork anywhere. Just dusty! All the original glass is good, the window regulators all work. Front bench seat is worn pretty bad, so it has a seat cover on it. Original wheels with good tires and the original Corvair hubcaps. Doors shut and latch great (except for the side door) it needs a little adjustment. Lights still work too. The carbs have just been rebuilt, fuel lines checked and the fuel tank dropped and checked ( but it was super clean). Pump the gas a couple times and this original engine fires right up. Runs good, sounds good and doesn't even blow any smoke, but it does not hold an idle very well..... vacuum line? carb sync? The brake lines were bled and now hold fine. As you can see, the body is overall very nice....driver side, front and rear have only slight dings. The passenger side has a medium size crease over the rear tire (see picture) that dents into the side doors. But the important parts.... the factory body lines, the doors and door jambs are original and straight. This is obviously a great candidate for a restoration, a great business promo vehicle, perfect for a camper conversion or just drive it as is for the fun of it! ******* It just wants a new family to love it and make it feel useful again! Rust free Corvairs are hard to find, in fact any 49 year old rust free vehicle is hard to find. Also, in case you didn't know... vintage vans are making a "come back"!
