1984 Honda 250R

In this auction you will basically receive 2 Honda 250R 3 wheelers. One is together and the other one is in pieces. ATC #1 This 250R is the one put together in the pictures. The tank is in great shape and the seat looks good. The plastic looks good but has a crack that has been repaired with black zip ties. The tires on the this atc have a lot of tread. The front tire tends to lose air over time, but will hold air for several days. The brakes on this atc work. This 250R does have some issues so please read carefully. This 250R does run and shifts good, but the engine needs work. The previous owner replaced the top end, but the bottom end might have a bad seal. I don't know for sure, but when driving this machine it smokes a lot during acceleration. It starts easy and shifts through the gears good, but I am thinking the engine will need work. I am not a mechanic and the problem could be an easier fix, maybe someone who knows carburetors could make an adjustment and fix the problem. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS ENGINE COULD NEED WORK AND I AM SELLING IT AS HAVING ENGINE PROBLEMS. ATC # 2 This 250R is in pieces. A lot of the pieces from this atc are in rough condition. The tires are dry rotted, the plastics have been cut, and a lot of parts are rusty. The main thing missing would be the front forks and the choke lever in the carburetor. The engine with this 250R has a shifting problem, but it did run good prior to me taking it out of the 250R. The issue with this engine is that it will shift into 1st gear, but 2nd puts it back into a neutral position, it will go into 3rd and the rest of the gears fine. I don't know if it's an gear or shift fork or what it is exactly. I started to take the engine apart to find the trans problem, but never finished. Currently the clutch side of the engine has been taken apart, but it still has the top end and other side of the engine together. What you could do--- 1. take the engine with the transmission problem apart, find the problem, and use the other engine that is currently on the 250 for parts. 2. take the engine that is on the atc apart and replace the seals if that ends up being the problem. 3. try to adjust the carb or anything else you think might fix the engine that is currently on the atc.
