1966 VW Standard Microbus , This is a very solid nice clean standard micro bus . A rare color scheme of Lotus White Top and Bottom which as most know these buses were most always a Two tone . This bus is a walkthru model ,has the full length Middle and Rear seats . Although the Middle is not original to this bus ,But has been recover in the original style seat material to match all original panels in the vehicle . The front seats were also recovered ,rebuilt and new seat pads installed .. All door panels and headliner are original and very nice condition for its age . The Motor is a 1600 cc rebuilt at a Local Vw shop , And has very low miles , It has been converted to 12 volt and runs great , The transmission just has been serviced with new axle seals , input shaft seals ,new gear oil and shifts smooth ..Brakes also have recently been redone with new rubber lines , shoes , wheel cylinders ,and master cylinder . New tires were also put on recently . All the electrical system is in proper working order ,all 12 volt even has a nice original radio that also works .. The body of this vehicle is super solid and is sporting about 75% of its original paint , There were a few dents and dings fixed ,but nothing structural, Just minor stuff from a vehicle of its age .. The paint was matched and buffed to give it the look of originality . Yes since alot of this vehicle has the 45 year old paint still there is a few rock chips and couple scratches and normal wear and tear . But to me adds character and makes this bus just a joy to drive around .. Its Not a show car but if it were in the line up , would get as much attention and a bus with a $30k restoration ...To me its a good respectable driver ..The rockers which are a common rust area on these buses , I'd have to say this bus has never been repaired and are rock solid , which shows as the whole drivers side is still in original paint .. The only issues that were replaced were two small spots on the front floor , very common on any old bus ..but quality metal panels were used and floors were repainted to match .. Over all this Little Vw Bus is a fine example of a bus with very low miles , very original , and been well care for over the last 45 years , which these days is getting almost impossible to find .. I really hate to sell this vehicle and im sure will regret this decision to list it here . But I'd like to sell it to a person who is looking for a nice clean driver with alot of character and charm ..And a person that can appriciate this vehicles originality and drive and enjoy as it is ....
