Vehicle Detail

I can no longer keep this find boat, because the company I worked for has gone out of business after 40 years, and for me that means no job. I had a buyer for the boat that never paid so now I am having to relist the boat. If you are not serious about owning a sailboat, the for goodness sakes please DO NOT waste my time and money by bidding. This is a no reserve auction, which means if you are the last bidder then you are the winner and now you have to pay, it's just that simple. I can't afford to keep doing this, so all I'm asking, if you do not have the money, keep looking. Look all you want. Just don't bid!!! Now that I've got that off my chest lets get to the boat. It is a used 1973 30' Morgan, 11' beam, nice and roomy with a little over 6' of head room, has a galley, a head, room to sleep 7 people. Nice cushions, dock bumpers, nice heavy anchor with rode, not sure how much but a lot. Several sails, tiller stering and various other items I can't think of right now. I have not had the motor checked out. I know the previous owner used a 6hp outboard to get in and out of the marina without any problems. The outboard motor does NOT go with the boat but the motor mount does go with the boat. If you win the bid then you will need to get the engine running or get a small outboard. Also the previous owner sailed her up from Maryland through some heavy weather with no problems to Brooklyn, NY where she is now. She needs a good cleaning the woodwork needs sanding and finishing. Also if you loook closely at one of pictures you will see a place where another boat got lose and scraped the starboard bow. No damage to the hull just the paint, which I was told could probably be buffed out. I'm not trying to hide anything, I know I'm probably forgetting something. Right now I have too much on my mind. I know this is a good boat and can be a beauitiful boat once again with some work and sweat. I was truly looking forward to doing the work and some of the repairs and then sailing her to her new home in FL but now I have other issues to deal with like trying to find a job. Anyway if you are looking for this type of boat then good luck bidding but if you don't want to get your hands dirty, you need to keep loooking. I live in TN and have a clear TN registration for this boat. TN does not title boats, all you have to have is a Bill of Sale and the registration. When the auction ends and payment is maded you will receive a Bill of Sale from me, which you take to your DMV office, there you will get either a title or registration depending on what state you are in. The boat can be seen Gateway Marina in Brooklyn, NY. Slip F-56 I have paid the slip fee till Oct. the boat can stay there till then. After that you will have to move her or make your own arangements with marina. On Jun-26-11 at 09:18:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add a couple of notes about this vessel. The draft is 5ft and the ballast is made of 5000lbs of lead. When combined with the shape and location of the keel, makes for a great handling sailboat.
