Vehicle Detail
1959 Ford 2 Door Ranch Wagon 332 cubic inch V-8 (Sold as is) RESERVE PRICE IS $1800 For auction is a 1959 Ford 2 Door Ranch Wagon with the original 332 V-8 engine. Car runs and has a clear title. 3-Speed manual transmission (three on the tree). Car has manual brakes and steering. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup and a $500 deposit is required via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. Car located in Fresno, California and sold as is. VIN# B9RR178653. From body tag on driver's side pillar: Body=59C, Color=L, Trim=25, Date=29E, Trans=1, Axle=4. The Good: Car starts right up, goes into gear fine, and has a clear title. This wagon is mainly complete with an exception of the right-rear quarter emblem, right-rear reverse lens, and the hubcaps. Car has all of the glass and the car locks up tight with the original door locks. Body is straight except for small crease on right rear quarter fin (see pictures). In addition to the 3 speed manual transmission this car has a beefy 9 inch rear end and the rear fold-down back seat is functional. The front chrome on the car looks great and has that classic '59 Ford look. Car has new ignition points, distributor cap, rotor, battery, and oil and air filters. The car has never been restored so it can still be restored to original specifications or resto-modified. 2 Door ranch wagons with the original 332 V8 engine are getting harder to find these days. The Bad: The brake pedal goes to the floor until you pump it up several times and the generator light on the dash stays on when car is running so the 12 volt generator likely needs to be serviced. There is also quite a bit of rust on the edges and underneath the doors, tailgate hatch, hood, left-rear floor pan,and the spare tire area. Rear bumper has been dinged in the center but can be straightened. Driver's quarter panel has surface rust. The upholstery is in bad shape so I covered the front seat to spare bidders the visual of the seats literally splitting at the seams and emitting dried foam. The Ugly: The biggest issue with this wagon is the rust on the driver's side roof rain gutter, while the passenger side is not as bad (see pictures).
