Enjoy! Are you imagining where you will take your first road trip in this beauty?! I thought so! Well, I am sure that you can tell by the pictures above that this is a real gem. The Metallic Blue paint has a brilliant shine and the body is laser straight. I could not find a ding on any of the body panels. It has obviously been garaged and waxed on a regular basis. I am sure you saw the minor flaw on the front bumper. This could easily and inexpensively be repaired. You could have the bumper airbrushed and then buy a replacement side marker lamp here on eBaymotors. Now take a look at the next grouping of photos. You will see multiple views of the very clean engine bay, each wheel, and the tread of each tire. The engine does not have any fluid leaks and the belts/hoses are in great condition. The tires have plenty of tread and the wheels are in excellent condition without any curb rash. Ok, so now you have seen the exterior, the engine bay, and all 4 wheels and tires. Now it is time for the interior. This Z3 is beautiful inside! The leather is in outstanding condition without any rips or tears, the woodgrain is in excellent condition, and the dash does not have any cracks or fading. The carpet is clean and this car has not been smoked in!! Both power seats operate properly, the power windows go up and down without any issues, and the air conditioner blows ice cold! Inside and out!! The leather looks fantastic and this Z3 has obviously been properly maintained. The above inspection report was conducted at a local BMW dealer on 6/6/2011. You will notice in the 2nd to last picture of that series that the DSC light and the brake light is on. Upon researching the Z3 forums I have discovered a few causes for these both to be on simultaneously. It is sometimes the steering sensor, wheel speed sensors, or DSC control module. Each is a simple fix. Worse case scenario in my opinion would be the DSC control module. I found a post were someone had a company rebuild their module for only $185. I drove it on 75 North from Ft Myers to Punta Gorda in a heavy downpour without any issues. In the video you will see me slam on the brakes at 45 MPH and come to safe controlled stop. The next grouping of photo's are of the convertible top. You saw the boot in the earlier pictures. In these pics you will see that the fabric is in excellent condition as well as the headliner. During the downpour yesterday the top did not leak at all (and it was pouring like crazy!!). This is a power top but you have to lower it and raise it manually. It is quite easy to raise and lower manually so I personally would not even bother with it. These tops are notorious for having sensor issues and switch issues. The hydraulic fluid bottle had plenty of fluid in it so I do not suspect a leaking system. Lower the top manually literally takes less than 20 secs as does raising it!
