The Volkswagen Beetle first came on the public scene in 1947, but they were known by a different name. KdF, short for Kraft durch Freude meaning 'power by joy', was designated to these small, gas-friendly vehicles. In English, the name Beetle was used. In German, they were known as Kafer, and in French they were called Coccinelle. The Volkswagen Beetle underwent significant changes for the 1967 model. It was consider the only model “Original Bug” with the last year overrider bumpers. While the car appeared similar to earlier models, much of the drivetrain was noticeably upgraded. Here is a 1967 Volkswagen Convertible Beetle Karmann Edition up for auction. This Classic Beetle will turn heads everywhere. It is consider one of the very last vintage VW Bug look before going into the big Super Beetle lights and fenders. As you stare at the sea foam green color you notice not only it’s a Vintage Beetle but also it’s the last rare breed of a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle Karmann Cabriolet edition. Painted a few years back it shows very well being a daily driver. Front and Rear overrider bumpers Chrome shines brightly as you cruise to the beach or for a local stroll to your local farmer’s market. Any drive, anywhere, you know you are riding in history. All roll up windows are original VW stamped Sekurit glass. The signal lens are also German Hella lenses. Most Convertible Beetle you find will have a vinyl top. Well, not this classic. It has a 1 year new canvas top with a bright white headliner. It opens smoothly and works properly as it should. The rear Volkswagen stamped Sekurit glass site accurately as you set back in motion the canvas top. It gets even better as you enter this classic. The interior is two tone tan. The side of the seats are solid tan while the faces are checker tan. This color combination gives the car a traditional look yet keeps the clean. The carpet is clean with no rip issues. All the running and signal lights work. Most importantly the HORN also works!!! The 1600 air cooled Engine runs solid and starts up every time. It just got a fresh oil change and is tune up correctly for its new owner. You will need to warm it up just like any air cooled VW…drive the rest of the day with the top down and enjoying the summer rays. By the way, this classic Volkswagen is an everyday driver.
