The 1956 Thunderbird conjures images of glamour and automotive dreams! This Thunderbird is in great shape - you can drive it like it is (and it definitely gets looks, hoot and hollered at at stop lights and on the freeway I've had a few thumbs up!) or if you want a perfect show car its a great car to fully restore. The red paint looks good but does have signs of wear with miscellaneous chips and about 3 little dings that we can see. The exterior chrome is all in really nice shape with no rust or pock marks. All four white wall tires are in new condition, and the glass is in great condition too. The engine fires up every time and runs great! There are a couple of penny size oil spots that appear if the car sits for awhile, but nothing severe. Both the motor and transmission function as they should. I've cruised this baby with the top off at 70 mph, it is a true delight! The power windows work, although the passenger side goes up slowly. It is recommended that the gasket lining the hard top and antenna should be replaced. The odometer reads 48,227, however there is no way to know the true miles due to it being a 5 digit odometer. All the carpets are very nice as well as the headliner and seat with minimal wear. The dash is a little discolored from the sun and signs of wear, but over all in nice condition for its age.
