Up for auction is a 2004 Acura TL with 71,950 miles, which has been my primary daily commuter vehicle since purchasing last year. This vehicle's exterior color is a gorgeous Abyss Blue Pearl (dark blue). The interior color is a very nice Camel leather (tan) which complements the exterior color quite well and was a major selling point for me when I purchased it last year. If you are unfamiliar with the 3rd Generation Acura TL's (2004-2008), they are well known for a combination of aggressive and attractive styling, powerful engine/power train performance, sporty handling balanced with a comfortable ride, as well as many standard luxury and convenience features. Most importantly the 3rd Generation TL has a very high build quality and reliability that is the hallmark of Acura's parent company American Honda. I invite you to do some research on the 2004 Acura TL using any major Automotive website like Edmunds, MSN Autos, Kelly Blue Book, etc. You will find a tremendous number of extremely positive reviews on how great this car continues to be over many years of dependable service. This is especially true when the vehicle has been well maintained like this TL. Condition Report This car is in very good condition inside and out, again very well maintained and looks great for being 7 years of age. Receipts for all maintenance services I've had done since I purchased the car last year will be transferred to the winning bidder, along with the New Jersey title which I am holding. The car recently had a Mobil One oil and filter change and is all set until 74,500 miles. The engine is strong, starting up easily every time and the transmission shifts smoothly. The heating system heats the car up quickly in the winter and the A/C blows ice cold in the summer. I had the rear brakes and rotors replaced late last year and at the time the front pads and rotors were still good. The front brakes were checked out recently when I had the oil changed and still have plenty of life on the pads but the front rotors will need to be resurfaced or replaced later this year. There is a slight vibration in the wheel right now when braking hard from higher speeds that is the classic sign of warped rotors, which is a normal maintenance item. Everything that you would expect to find is there, such as owners manuals, anti-theft radio code, wheel lock key, spare tire, jack and accessories, etc. In other words, there will be no surprises with this car. This TL has never been in an accident and you can check the FREE Carfax vehicle history report I am providing below and the eBay Motors included Autocheck report to verify that for yourself. The EPA estimates the mileage at 20 city/30 highway (I got about 24 mpg in mixed local and highway driving) which worked well for me. On the interior, the Camel leather seats are still in excellent shape with no tears, burns or holes in the leather. The dual driver/passenger front heated seats work perfectly when it gets cold, which you will enjoy if you live in a colder climate like NJ. The rear seats and trunk area are likewise in very good condition. You'll notice the custom fit trunk liner in the trunk area which does a great job protecting the trunk carpet from any spills and stains and is great when you come back from Home Depot :-). The tan colored all weather front and rear floor mats (see below for details) help protect the interior carpet and really keep any dirt and moisture contained as you track them into the car from outside. All interior buttons and switches are functioning as designed and the memory seats work great and are a really nice feature of the car. The front passenger window goes up and down fine manually, but sometimes when you use the auto-up one click feature it goes up half way and then goes back down. This has not bothered me to have fixed because I just hold the switch upwards in manual mode instead of using the one click up option. All other windows work perfectly. On the exterior, the Abyss Blue Pearl paint is in good condition, with only normal wear for a 7 year old car, which means there are a few small exterior scratches or imperfections in the paint due to everyday driving. Below, I am fully disclosing everything I observed visually on the exterior when I looked it over from top to bottom. The driver's side headlight cover has a a few small scratches on it but is still very clear and both headlights are fully sealed so there is no discoloration or leaks. On the front bumper area near the driver's side edge there is a small and hardly noticeable scrape but the paint still looks good and is one solid dark blue color. There is a small nick on the right rear bumper (see picture). There are 4 matching "Toyo Proxes 4" size 235/45/17 premium performance tires on the car and each tire has more than 50% of it's tread remaining. There are a few small scratches on the edges of three wheels, I believe it's called curb rash, which is also typical (shown in pictures). The driver's side power heated mirror glass has just started to get a small rust colored tarnish on the left corner of the outer edge of the mirror glass but is perfectly usable and does not obstruct the driver's view at all. After doing research online I found out this is very common for this car due to the heated mirror switch being left on when no ice is on the glass (must have been previous owner because I never use it) and is a quick fix because the mirror glass snaps on/off without having to replace the entire mirror assembly which is perfectly fine. In advance of this auction, I purchased a brand new Acura OEM driver's side replacement mirror glass for $45 online and will give to the winning bidder so you can install it at your leisure. I am doing this because I really want the car to look and perform like the outstanding pre-owned vehicle this is and ensure you are very happy with your purchase for a long time to come. Again, these are all minor exterior condition issues and nothing that takes away from the overall look and feel of the car, just what you can expect from normal everyday driving over 7 years. However, I am telling you everything I can see so that you will know I am not hiding anything. The vehicle also has a valid NJ inspection sticker good through January 2013. I had the inspection done in January 2011, so if you plan to register the car in NJ you are all set for another 18 months. So by now you might be wondering, why am I selling this TL if it’s such a solid and well running vehicle? Well, that's a great question and I would definitely want to know this if we were interested in this buying a high quality pre-owned luxury vehicle like I assume you are. First of all, I really don't want to sell the TL because I love it and have invested over $1100 in regular maintenance items since last year (see below), so I am going to lose out by selling.
