You are bidding on a 2000 Chevy 2500, 2WD Heavy Duty, Long Bed Truck! The truck used to be a company vehicle for Allied Fire in Jamestown, NY before we bought it. Allied Fire travelled with it to install fire safety tools (fire alarms, sprinklers, etc). Mainly highway miles. The good: Runs GREAT! 253,000 miles on truck; everything that has EVER been done to the truck since the time it was purchased in 2000 has been kept in a folder. Anything from the purchase agreement to oil changes can be found in the folder. Picture shown of paperwork spread out on floor. Nice interior. Comfortable ride. BRAND NEW studded winter tires, just purchased this past winter. Less than 500 miles on the tires. Paid $700 for them from Go Tire in Jamestown, NY. Picture shown. Calculated about 18-20 mpg combined. Better gas mileage than we had expected when we purchased the truck. The bad: There is some rust. It has been a NYS vehicle since it was purchased. Rust is not bad, though. See pictures. It also needs a door handle. As shown in the pictures, the door panel has been taken off. We had planned on buying a handle ($30) but just haven't got around to it. We do have the door paneling though which can easily be put back on.
