Vehicle Detail
Description and condition: This is a rare 1950 2 DR Hard Top (No Post). 1950 was the first year Chevrolet made a 2 DR HardTop, which has the highly desireable three piece rear window, which is in good shape. It has all the interior stainless trim including the headliner trim. The door knobs, window knobs, and interior pieces are all there. The mileage is unknown. The body style is 519494 and the style is 50-1037. Vin # is 3HK-F 92505 Body by Fisher. The Belair Deluxe was the top of the line Chevrolet for 1950, and very few remain. Exterior trim is about 95% complete. The exterior body panels are in reasonably good shape, with minor dings, bumps and bruises which should be easy to repair. The drivers door is coming apart, but with some work and panels it could probably be repaired. The surface is lightly pitted from sitting out in the sun. The trunk lid is pretty beat up and probaly should be replaced. The floors and trunk floor need new metal. The seats and interior panels are all recoverable. This car has a lot of potential as a project since it is complete as far as I can tell. The prior owner stated the car ran before he got it. He never tried to start it. The engine turns freely, but I have not tried to get it running. The clutch seems to work as the gears all go in and out with it sitting still. The title has been lost, so it will be sold with a bill of sale. Any interested buyer can call with any questions. 931-260-2052. Shipping, warrantee and payment: This vehicle is being sold as is as shown, with no warrantee, expressed or implied. What you see is what you get. Deposit of $500 through paypal is required within 48 hours of auction end. The rest of the payment can be made by check prior to pickup, or cash at time of pickup. I will hold the vehicle until any checks clear my bank. I will assist with whoever you will be working with for loading the car to have it delivered, but it is the buyer's responsibility to arrange for the pickup and pay all shipping costs. On Jun-18-11 at 14:27:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: This is not an actual convertible. But Chevrolet designed it to look and feel like the convertible model, so they called it "hard top convertible". Just wanted to make sure not to give the wrong impression.
