Vehicle Detail

Up for sale 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible Barn type find- project car. It is a great canidate for a full restoration, because it is a number matching V-8 289 Automatic. The engine is still intact. The car has never been messed around with and has never been restored before. CLEAN TITLE Here is the car by the numbers. 76A- Convertible-standard 3- Poppy Red color D6- White interior with black trim 06B- build date Feb -6 1965 Dearborn DSO- Chicago 6- C-4 auto Many of the original parts are still on the car. This car is rusty, as you can see from the pictures, so much of the metal will need to be replaced or repaired. The front fenders came off a 1966. The paint is original on the rest of the car, it is that orange looking Poppy red. The rear seats are the original white one. The front seat go with the car but are from a 1965 but are not the original buckets. They will need to be recovered . The wiring is in place, just disconected to the dash. The 289 engine and transmission are original. The engine was started and ran 2 years ago, but since the body was in no condition to handle the road the engine has not been run since then. The fan turns and all the fuilds are in the engine. I can't find the original air cleaner. There is no battery, and the battery box area is rusted badly like most of them. The front frame rails and shock towers are in pretty good condition. The car does roll around a steer nicely. It stands straight. All the torque boxes are holding, but need to be replaced. along with the rear rails. There are Matching VIN numbers on both sides of the engine bay. Plus the original door tag is in place. the doors need to be replaced. All the side glass is there and in good condition. no front windshield I took a picture of chrome peices and extra parts that go with the car. The top needs to be lubed up to work properly and it needs fabic , The convertible is sold AS-IS. I have lots of pictures that I can send you if you want pictures of cetain areas of the car. Ask Questions before the end of the action because once the auction is over that will be the binding price, the reat smooth transaction. I have the Mustang in my garage, so you are invited to look over the car before you bid, but do so before the end of the action. Transportation is up to the buyer. I can sell the car overseas, but since the car does not run and the frame is weak, please check with your shipper before the end of the auction. A $200 deposit is needed with-in 2days of the end of the auction and paid in full with-in 7 days. the deposit can be in way of Paypal. The balance needs to be cash, certified check, or bank transfer. This is the car to spend the money on restoring if you want to bring a mustang convertible back to life. The great thing about this car is the matching numbers, The V-8 factory engine, the clear title, The color combination, and it rolls around, the bad part is all the metal work, but all the parts are cheap and easy to get. I have set a low reserve, and the car will sell. Bring back this great part of American car history. A nicely restored, numbers matching, V-8 should retail for the mid $20,000 Thanks for bidding .
