Original side-skirt step-plates, NO RUST! (another thing that usually goes first and is RARE to find!) Wing Windows Work Perfect! Side Windows roll up and down with the crank smoothly! Original Chrome pin-stripe molding and all Original Factory Emblems still intact and in Great Condition! Front Bonnet operates perfect/ Original spare tire unused still inside Glove Box Opens/Shuts Smoothly Original Bumpers! Original Am Transistor Radio still works! (These are an expensive item to get if you were to do a full-restoration) Registered as a classic antique automobile in the state of California No smog EVER!!! BOTH ORIGINAL BLACK PLATES!!! One professionally restored/One untouched Wow! Registered through June of 2012/ Fully Operational/ Totally 100% street legal Has seatbelts Front/Rear Great gas mileage/ 4 cyl. 4 speed manual/ Mid-High 20's on MPG Hardly driven for it's age Heater works Defroster works Side vents work Floor vents work REAR DEFROSTER STILL WORKS....AMAZING! Transmission is very strong, shifts smoothly Clutch is good This is an original un-restored 1969 VW Beetle made in Germany. This is STOCK, not changed (Except for a 2nd paintjob; which is still the same original factory blue color code). I do not have the time nor energy to go down my list of fix-it's. However, the things it may need in the foreseeable future aren't major ( a few small cosmetic things that a COLLECTOR may be interested in fixing in order to get a trophy!) & I think anybody with a little bit of car knowledge, a little extra time, and some creativity could fix these issues. This car is not a budget breaker! New or used original German parts are easy to find and extremely cheap when compared to other vehicles. Needs E-brake cable = $13 + install. Can put in yourself (may take an hour or so is what Tom Watt's our local mechanic shop owner said) Has Minor/Moderate headliner damage above driver seat, approximately 13 inches long by about 8 inches wide (You may want to take it to the auto upholstery shop, or install a new Original German one yourself for the whopping price of $46.95 online. :) Minor/Moderate wear on driver's seat only. This includes One tear down the center of the seat (roughly 10 inches long, 1/10 of an inch wide) which can be hemmed and fixed without replacing. The value of the car is worth more with the ORIGINAL FACTORY BASKETWEAVE INTERIOR so I wouldn't suggest replacing this (The Original German Basketweave material is downright impossible to find, the market is flooded with cheap aftermarket replacements unfortunately on this one; If you are savvy you could hemm this yourself, but I'd suggest taking it into the classic auto upholstery place off of Gutierrez in Santa Barbara, where it will cost a little over $100 to have it done like it was never there) Needs new Sun-Visors ($7.95 + install, may take up 15 minutes) At some point in the next 5 or so years it will need new window rubbers (very cheap, maybe $30-40 at max, however, apparently installing them is a challenge and may require some time) New Windshield Wiper Blades(rubber part) (Less than $10 and a 5 minute install) Serious inquiries only!! Whoever buys it it will be very happy :) Just take care of it please. Email me or call 805.400.9568 if you have any q's I will take the highest offer or the asking price. Thank You.
