WOW!!! What an amazing opportunity!!! You do not find these for sale very often. Just received out of a long term private collection. This 1969 AMC Hurst S/C Rambler, Scrambler, has had an extensive frame off restoration about ten years ago and used very little since. The car is 100% authentic and real, not a copy. Only 1,512 of these special cars were ever built, many of them raced, and not many survived. This car has been a northwest car it's entire life. It was bought new at Jackson Motor Co. in Walla Walla, Washington. Donald Coates of nearby Kennewick paid $3,156.18 for the S/C and traded in a 1966 Rogue for $1,066. The documents come in a hefty file with the car, which Coates kept until 1997 when he sold it to Don Dimm of Snohomish, Washington. In 2003 it was sold to Wallace, Wally, Lewis of Portland, OR before it arrived here, We have a copy of the original build sheet as well as the original sales purchase order. Very well documented. This car is a one year only built, very rare, factory race car. It is equipped with the Hurst package 4 speed, 390ci V8, 3:91 rear end, and positraction.
