I am selling a nice 1938 Chevy body only with a clear S.D. title. It is way above average, unrestored condition. Very, very straight body shell with very little rust damage. Selling the complete, bare, body sheet metal only. Excellent doors, straight, solid and rust free. Very nice hood panels. Straight deck lid with a small rust spot on lower inside edge as shown in one picture. All fenders are nice for the age. Some light dents or repairs needed around lower areas. Running boards are solid, no rust damage but one needs some light straightening around some edges. Excellent grill shell and headlight buckets. Grill is in good restorable condition. Grill shell is complete with nice lower chin panel, lower splash panel and radiator support. The roof is excellent, no damage. Original headliner and bows are still intact. This body shell has typical rust damage in tail pan but excellent trunk floor and spare tire well. No quarter panel or rocker panel rust. Very solid where the rear fenders mount. Only other rust damage on body is at the front driver floor and body mount area. A very good, unmolested original body with no signs of any previous body work or repairs. No mud fillers or previous weld repairs. Any bodyman would appreciate restoring this body. Dash is bare, but unmolested. Cowl vent panel with lever assembly is still intact. It looks like it was only painted once in the past with a salmon color over the original brown paint and it has peeled or faded away. Super nice solid floors. As shown in pictures, the top and bottom of floors, firewall and the body jambs were sandblasted clean in the past and they have lightly surface rusted since. This will easily clean up again. Selling as a great body parts donor or a great restorable body. No modifications were done and it's ready to restore your way. Put it on a Corvette chassis or build your own frame? Street rod, Rat Rod??? or if you have a 38 chevy 2 door sedan your restoring and it is badly rusted or damaged, you could be money ahead using this body and transfering all the componets from your car. I prefer no more than a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of listing ending by paypal and the balance by bank check, personal check or cash. Checks must clear my bank before pick up of car
