Up for auction...1983 CB 1000. This bike runs great... but there are quite a few things that need fixing. Here is a full disclosure to the best of my knowledge.Engine starts easily. When engine is hot, it idles at 2000-2500 rpms. Runs best with the choke 1/2 on. Front left fork seal is leaking. Rear left shock appears to be leaking fluid. The starter spins when hot. I removed the starter and had it tested and replaced the starter bearing. It still spins when hot, I'm guessing it's the starter clutch. The right front brake rotor and the rear brake rotor need replacing. Front left rotor is smooth and in good condition. Front tire is new, back tire needs replacing. There is a small ding and scratch in the tank (See Photos). The exhaust system and pipes are a bit rusty (see photos) but I don't think there are any leaks. There is a chip that was broken on the sissy bar next to the rear right turn signal, it was glued back into place and has stayed there for over 10 yrs. (See Photo). There is a rip in the seat. Rear turn signals don't work, and do not come on. Front turn signals work. Everything on the bike is original except the horns were replaced, and not exactly the same. The bike has never been in an accident or laid down. Door to the tool kit has broken off but is still held in place by the lock mechanism. Tool Kit is not 100% complete (most of it is there). I still have the pocket sized owner's manual, not in great shape. Bike came from Williamsport PA, I bought it used in 1990... I hate to sell this bike but she needs more love than I can give. On Jun-16-11 at 09:33:44 PDT, seller added the following information: More Disclosure on this bike: I forgot that the Ignition Was replaced.. So there are 2 keys required for the bike, The new Key turns on the ignition, the old key opens the Helmet lock, Gas tank and Steering lock. ( I have 2 full sets of keys for the bike). The left side cover was replaced (with OEM part) when it fell off and was run over, I kept the old "1000 Custom" logo and attached it to the new cover with screws, and painted them black. (see photo). There is some pitting on the forks. I apologize for missing these details. It is not my intention to mislead anyone.Please contact me with any questions... Thanks
